Let's compile a list of Christians in non-Christian bands

maybe some rappers? they wear cross chains, but how do you know whether they are christian or not? and why are we making this list?

Here are some Christians in non-Christian bands:

- Todd MacKaye, former vocalist of the hardcore band With Honor, is Christian and some of his lyrics reflect that. The band itself is not Christian, however.
- Same as Todd - Gunner, the vocalist of the Chicago pop punk band, Much The Same, is very openly a Christian and it is also reflected in some of his lyrics. But the band is not a Christian band.
- Amber Pacific, a pop punk band from Washington State - several of their members are Christian but they are not a Christian band. From what I understand, their drummer even organized a Bible Study group with members of Underoath on last year's Warped Tour specifically for any Christians on the tour.

Ooo, and I don't know if Chris Carabba (of Dashboard Confessional) is a Christian, but he used to be the lead singer for Further Seems Forever, who are a Christian band.

I also forgot Megadeth's Dave Mustaine, Brian 'Head' Welch (Korn) also profess to be Christians. 'Head' seems very much the "real deal"

They had a somewhat pro-Christian song 'After Forever' and Ozzy has said in interviews he considers himself a 'christian' (it makes one wonder what his definition of 'Christian' is ) They also had songs that glorified drug use as well ('Sweet Leaf')

As for 'After Forever', here are the lyrics:

Stretch Arm Strong have several Christian members (they've even released records on Tooth & Nail and Solid State) but they are not a Christian band.

Which Black Sabbath line up are you talking about? Ronnie James Dio is an admitted Satanist. So if you're referencing Black Sabbath when he was involved, no they were not a Christian band.

I'm not aware that any member of Sabbath is a Christian. Ozzy wears alot of crosses and has them throughout his home, but I'm not sure he's a Christian either.

If you are saying they are Christians, that is news to me. You people need to back up your opinions/beliefs with solid facts (and links would be nice too! )

As for Black Sabbath, heck, even the name is satanic and blasphemous. Ozzy has claimed in the past to be a Christian (and may very well be sympathetic to non-organized religion in general and Christianity in particular) Christians need to sharpen up on their discernment - if they did, they would realize that none of these guys walk equals their talk. They are unregenerated men through and through.

There are others in this thread that i (and others) have mentioned that do walk the walk as well as talk the talk. They have had geniune regeneration experiences and their lives now reflect the changes the Holy Spirit makes in the lives of all those that truly belong to Christ. All the others just have religion - useless DEAD religion that saves no one because it is another 'jesus', another 'gospel' from another 'spirit'!
