Let us imagine for 5 seconds (only) that:
(1) The human reproduction system started to evolve 129 billion years ago from simple asexual reproduction to such an unbelievably complex system as today for 3 good reasons. The Number 1 reason is that sexual reproduction generates greater genetic diversity, because greater genetic variation gives us humans better resistance to rapidly adapting diseases and parasites. That's the main loving intention evolution had in mind.
(2) Bees and flowers are a perfect match, but they were really not like that until 150.01 million years ago when flowers and bees saw that they could help each other fantastically and so they started to evolve TOGETHER ;
(3) There is new breakthrough on the origin of the sense of humor. After decades of research, scientists have discovered that the sense of humor was born 27 million years ago when some humans TRIPPED over on their way to hunting.
Today it is Roald Dahl day!! Since Roald Dahl said: "A little nonsense now and then, is cherished by the wisest men." So a LITTLE BIT of nonsense is ok -- just THREE little pieces for FIVE seconds. Then stop!!! I am not liable for any damage if you do more than that.
________________________________________________________________________________________________
There are other pieces for you to choose from:
(4) Nothing on Earth could fly until 409 million years ago when dinosaurs started their amazing evolving journey into the sky. Their wings evolved gradually, but somehow, one day, amazingly, they managed to evolve into birds JUST before everybody dies due to flying with half a wing.
(5) Flowers were not as beautiful as they are now. About 150 million years ago, amazingly, flowers ---without any communication with bees or any external input or any design plan --- evolved gradually from ugliness to the EXACTLY RIGHT kind of beauty which appealed to bees' taste.
(6) Polar bears got their thick white furs due to the need to adapt to the extremely cold environment when they first migrated from the Equator 327.1 million years ago. They had no furs initially, but the furs started to evolved slowly and gradually, bit by bit, since the first day they arrived the North Pole. Somehow, at the beginning, incredibly, they managed to survive despite having no thick furs. Scientists now believe that it was highly probably due to another in-built mechanism which had evolved to protect them from freezing to death during that MILLION years wait.
(7) After decades of scientific research, scientists have come to the conclusion that morality was simply a product of human evolution and was essential for LONG-TERM survival of humans. Morality might not bring immediate benefits or pleasures to individuals, but could bring long term advantages for the whole community; and these were what the mechanism of evolution had in mind.
Happy Roald Dahl day !!!
