  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is truly the most epic and beautiful musicals in the history of broadway, in my opinion. No doubt, many would agree.

Even listening to the soundtrack will show that it is amazing - how many other musicals can do that?

I love Les Miserables! Colm Wilkinson is the absolute best Jean valJean. I was lucky enough to see a travelling performance when I was 10 or so. I don't remember alot about it, but I absolutely remember feeling my hackles rise when "Do You Hear The People Sing" started, and "One Day More" always makes my heart sore. I also love "Bring Him Home" and "A Little Fall Of Rain".
Hopefully the community theatre I hang out at will be putting this on in April of next year,

i LOVE this musical. Our college (tofty private schooll...urgh) did a like £3000 production of it last february. Hired the revolving stage and costume replicas etc. was AMAZING. I played EPONINE, which was the BEST role to play ever. literally, you can get SO involved in your characters it truley is amazing feeling to be up there playing such a great role. I love 'On my Own' and 'Heart full of Love' now. And 'Empty chairs at empty tables' is the best song EVER.

It's my ambition to play Eponine on the West End now, so slowly going to work my way up through Uni stuff, possibly do a postgrad degree in music theatre to get there, but want to do worship leading so not sure yet! but..... I love this Musical!!!

I'm auditioning for Eponine...or at least I think I am. I lost my practice tape at the community theatre. Stupid airheaded memory of mine. Anyway I got to see the rotating stage. Our stage unfortunatly is a thrust/theatre in the round. The floor is hard concrete so we can't rotate people on the stage unless we tell them to turn themselves.

Ah, Les Mis, Les Mis..

For some reason I just can't warm up to that musical. The story's interesting, and I know it's all really quality, but..I just don't like the musical :( There's a point where all the songs begin to sound the same, and everyone sounds like they're shouting. I think it's just a little too..dramatic for my taste.
But no hard feelings
