I've seen it three times, in St. Louis, on Broadway, and in Fayetteville, AR.

We saw it on Broadway shortly before it closed. Even though we had 1/2 price TKTS, we were in the first row on the right. We could look down into the pit and see everyone playing. The actors were right in front of us. It was amazing.

There are so many beautiful themes--forgiveness and unconditional love, self-sacrifice, justice, freedom. The music is heart-rending, and the character of Jean Valjean is mesmerizing.

I love this musical. I cried all through the first time I saw it. Didn't cry that much the second time. Cried more the third time, but never as much as the first :)

I just saw it last week... and it was amazing. Though I can see it being difficult to really grasp unless you've seen the movie or read the book. They move along really quickly, as with any musical or play.
