CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Of course, it came after episodes 3-6 were released on the Mexico station for Nick - and the episodes were leaked. Love the fleet of sky bison, but not sure I like the idea that Bumi can air bend now (the expression on his face makes me wonder if he really was, though). That lack of ability was kind of a defining trait for him.

Intense is an understatement - and the fleet of air bisons was amazing. Moreover, seeing how it seems Korra's going to have a group of people to combat against rather than a singular enemy seems to go with what was said earlier on the season with it being more psychological for Korra rather than something she could fight her way out of.
With Bummi being able to air bend, I don't think I had an issue with it - but ultimately, I'm just looking forward to seeing how they will bring air benders back and how that connects with the Spirits from Book 2. I really do hope, with the new air-bender monk who's against Korra, that they do some exploration of Wan's time more....and show how not all air monks were the same in ideology when it comes to their history. From the looks of it, it seems that the main enemies may be similar to the Order to the White Lotus (or perhaps ex-White Lotus members) ....with the new enemies being benders from all four nations seeking to corrupt the Avatar or take her down a different path. One of the leaked photos looked like someone was fighting members of the White Lotus...

I am still wondering myself why they chose to leave that alone with the Equalists. Surely with all the changes this will be more prominent again...

There are many religious cults that died out after the leader was taken out (David Koresh for example or Jim Jones) - but on a mass scale, I do hope the writers consider this. For in the world of Avatar, it seems to be too big of a thread to not pull.
Just as benders are associated with the natural and spiritual realms, it seems like those calling for equality would look to science and technology as great levelers - and this is something that actually didn't seem to develop in Korra's era alone. The original series suggested on more than one occasion the dangers of technological and scientific innovation when seeing how easily it could balance out things. In example, the Fire Nation war machines, particularly the Drill, were steampunk monstrosities that underlined just how far they had veered from natural harmony.
Moreover, even the show's good scientist, the Mechanist, was initially a Fire Nation collaborator who had compromised the sanctity of the Northern Air Temple, and his most positive inventions tended to be those that incorporated bending (the submarine being one example).
Technology with bending growing into a force of oppression is not a new theme - and as others like the Equalists capitalized on sentiments of non-benders in making their points, it doesn't seem logical for those people to have disappeared simply because Amon was taken out. It made sense for the conflict between benders and Equalists evolving into a larger war between the natural world of the Avatar and scientific progress - and I do hope that they show some consequences of that in Book 3 (or Book 4) to make the point.
