Left out

Does anyone feel left out sometimes at church, cause it seems to focus on families. I have talked to some other singles, and they seem to feel this way. I know there is singles ministries, single events, but when it comes to sunday service its all about the family.

Actually church is the one place I do not feel left out. Usually because I take active part of the service. It's not until outside of church with friends and things that I sometiems feel like a third wheel.

I don't feel left out in any of the services, but sometimes I do feel like there's not a whole lot geared toward singles in my church. Lots of focus on children's ministry, music ministry (which I am a part of), and young couples ministry.

It doesn't bother me too much though.

I don't feel left out at church either, there are a lot of different cell groups at my church...If someone feels left out then they probably aren't making an effort.

Sometimes I feel left out, mainly because there aren't many people my age that attend my church. My pastor is doing a series of sermons entitled "Building the Family" and he is hitting all age groups within the church. One Sunday his focus was on singles. It was a good sermon. It was a good reminder that singles are whole people too. I do get involved, but a lot, not all, of our ministries are geared towards families with children. Sometimes you just have to start a new ministry in what you are interested in and recruit others to help out.
