Left Behind: A Tribulation Story

Faith knelt down to his side, and put a hand on his shoulder.

"It is alright... Has anyone you loved disappeared? It is due to the rapture... you are seeking answers aren't you? Please come in and we can explain to you what has happened..."

Cody looked up at her. She had a concerned face which made him feel a little bit better. "I-I didnt really lose anyone close in the... disapearances... My Girlfriends parents disapeared. It spooked me... and I ran off, I just left her! When I went back, I... I, found her... dead!"

Cody started ssobbing again. The girl just sat beside him, waiting for him to speak again. " She... she stabbed herself, she had that paper, she... I, Its My fault!" he suddenly burst out.

"It couldn't have possibly been your fault... your girlfriend was confused and we all are... If you put your trust in God though, everything will be alright... and it is vital we explain to you about the rapture and tribulation, so you will be able to get through it..."

Cody looked at her confused. He was in grief and she was trying to "Save" him! He shook his head. "You dont understand! She would still be alive if I hadnt run away! I could have stopped her!"

"You can't help your feelings... I wouldn't have blamed you for running... it is what I did..."

Cody looked up. "Ok... you know my story, whats yours?" He asked.

She started telling him about her life, then were she was at the time of the disapearances, then what had happened to her after words. It all sounded so... sureal, he couldnt believe that a "loving God" would take his "Chosen people" to heaven, then leave everyone else to suffer. " I...I'm sorry, but I dont think I ca..." She interrupted him, "at least let me introduce you to someone?" He hesitated, then slowly nodded.

Faith got up and breathed hard. "Some breather." She thought to herself but I am glad I was here for him..."

She led him in and wondered who she should take him to see first.

(Oh Diedre, are you on vacation? I miss you sooo! ))

(( I'm back! Sorry! My computer was out for repairs, but it's back now. Sorry I kept you all waiting! ))

Diedre nodded at the woman. "I'm Diedre." She followed the woman to the phone and lifted it up to her ear. "Hello?"

"Diedre?" Mike said, happy to know he had the right church, "I need to talk to you. I'm not sure, but..."
Mike searched for the words. How could he say this. Then they came to him.
"I think that your little family down at the church may soon be one brother bigger."

As Cody walked in beside Faith, he heard a shout coming from an office, Faith took off running, and Cody followed slowly behind, wondering what was going on. When he got to the office, he saw another girl talking on the phone and to Faith excitedly, all at the same time. The conversation died down when the girl on the phone saw him. Cody grew nervous and backed away...

Dee couldn't help but smile. "Really?"

Thank you, God. She whispered.

Cody felt lost, alone... confused. What Faith had told him made a little sense, but he didnt want to believe it. If what she was saying was true, Sarah was in hell! He just couldnt except that, sure they had done stuff together that wasnt right, but they wernt THAT bad...

He went into the sanctuary and sat down, waiting for the person he was supposed to meet....

Faith whispered to Diedre.

"Who should I bring him too?" He looked at the pastor and pointed to Cody, and he started walking over to him.

"Don't get too excited," Mike said, "I said 'maybe soon.' I want to know what exactly is entaled in all this before I make the decision. That's why I want to talk to you. But not over the phone. Could you come over to my house?"
(If the answer is yes, I give Diedre liberty to make up an address.)

 

[ChristIsCalling]

"Of course." Diedre replied, "And I know what you mean. I don't expect you to make such a decision without knowing fully what it means first." After saying goodbye, she got out a pen and paper and wrote down his address, then she grabbed her purse and headed out the door, stopping to tell Faith where she was going. "Call me on my cell if you really need me." Dee left her cell number with Faith, and walked out, heading down the street.

This is the kind of time when I would pay big bucks for a taxi. Dee said to herself. There was no way she would find her car after the tornado that just hit, and no taxis, or traffic, for that matter, were heading her way because of all the debris.

After Diedre finally made it to Mike's house, she walked up to the front door and knocked. She had gotten a Bible from Bruce before she left. It was clutched tightly in her right hand.

Cody looked up as he heard footsteps. A middle aged man was walking towards him. The man held out his hand to shake, and Cody quickly rose and returned the mans greeting.

"My name is Bruce" he said, "I'm Cody" Cody said hesitantly.

"Faith tells me you are insure about what you believe?"
"Well... It kinda makes sense, but I cant beleive that God would take his people and leave us behind to face this. I mean... whats going to happen to us?" Cody looked up, fear on his face.

"Well, the next seven years are basically going to be hell on earth" " Well thats comforting" " But... its going to be worse for you if you dont except the forgivness God offers you."

"See, thats what I cant do, God wouldnt forgive me! I just caused my friends !"

Cody could tell he had struck a nerve with the man. "Tell me what happened" Bruce said to him quietly. Cody quickly explained his story, how he had left Sarah when she needed him most, then came back to find her , "Its my fault, I could have stopped her if I had been there!" Cody fell to his knees, sobbing.

After a minute, Bruce knealt down beside him, and put a hand on his shoulder. "Your right, it is your fault" Cody looked up stunned, he hadnt expected the man to agree with him! "In fact, every single person that has died today and yesterday, there s are your fault too." Cody started to shake his head, "Hey man, thats crazy! I had nothing to do with those peo.." "You didnt help them did you? Where you able to stop each and every person from dieing ? Do you know how many s there were in the last 24 hours?" Cody shook his head, confused. " There have been over 1 million s since the disapearances" Cody stared in shock, "But I... They didnt... I had nothing to do with them! I couldnt have helped them, there is no way thats my fault!"

"Well, if Sarahs is your fault, then how come everyone elses isnt?" Cody stared at this man who he knew was trying to help him, but was causing turmoil inside him. He couldnt take anymore. He stood up feeling lightheaded, tears running down his face. "I... I dont..." Then he collapsed on the floor.

"Dedrie," he said in welcome, "Hi. Come on in. Sorry for the mess, I'm not a good housekeeper."
Mike got into his questioning right away.
"So, what exactly do you guys think?" he asked, "What makes you so different from other religions?"

Hi. I'm new here, and I thought I'd give this a shot. I've RPGed for a few years now, and I'm looking for a few good writers to join this with me.

Plot: This story is about teens who were left behind after the rapture. The plot will go through the judgments described through the book of Revelation, as well as the rise of the antichrist and the mark of the beast, as in the Left Behind books. (If you have any questions about the Biblical outline of any of this, let me know.) I will post an outline of the judgments so that everyone can be on the same page. (Posted below...)

How to join: Post a bio with a description of your character (both physical and otherwise). Feel free to include any family background or incorporate it into the story later. Also, write a short scene description of where your character(s) was/were at the time of the rapture.

Other stuff:
-Please keep the language clean and the sexual content to a minimum.
-Please do not get mad about "godmodding". Post the longest passages that you can, especially if two characters are just having a conversation. However, DO NOT make major decisions for another person's character. The reason that I am asking for long posts is because I might not be able to be on every day due to out-of-town athletic events and I do not want to hold up the whole story...Thanks for being understanding.

Ravenn was at a Seance when the rapture occurred, but as soon as she saw the carrying away of the true believers in Jesus Christ Ravenn totally saw TRUTh for what it was and gave her complete life and heart to Jesus Christ. PRAISE THE LORD!
