Left Behind: A Tribulation Story

Faith nodded. "I undestand." she said... "My Father was a preacher, but I never really listened. Now that I have a second chance, I am not going to let that pass, I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour and I know He can get me through this. Are you'll with me? I think there are people here that need to hear this message for I know the press is going to think up of some lie of what has happened today."

 

[ChristIsCalling]

Diedre nodded, "Yes, He will definately get you through this." she smiled, "And of course I'm with you, there's no telling what the press are going to do to get us to believe something else besides the truth."

Dee turned to the boy whom she had first spoken to of the rapture. Was he ready? It was hard for her to tell. She breathed a silent prayer, God, tell me what to do.

"I just have an instinct we will come down as martyrs before the end of this..."

Mike had remained silent for the entire conversation. He knew nothing of all this. The Mark of the Beast, the Antichrist... it all filled him with a sort of fear.
He thought to himself that this fear was from the idea he was sitting next to a lunatic, but some part of his mind was doubting that...
No. He could deny it no longer. This doubt did not come from his mind. His mind was confident and sure. No, this doubt came from something small. Something that had been suppressed, starved, and had withered to the point of almost ceasing to exist.
This doubt came from his soul.
Overcome by fear now, he said as calmly as he could, "Well, I'm going out for some air. Feel free to continue the conversation without me. I'll be just out the front door if you need me."
And, not worried that he was being too conspicuous, he walked to the front door as fast as he could.

Diedre watched the boy leave, and wondered if the conversation had been too much for him. The last thing she wanted to do was push him away from the truth.

Should I go after him? No. He needs to think about this. He's heard the truth. He has to decide whether he'll accept it, or not.

Dee turned to the girl next to her. "Maybe we will, but at least we'll know where we're headed, and that we died for the truth." She paused in thought a moment.

"I'm Diedre." she said, holding out her hand.

 

[Mayflower1]

"Faith..." she said, holding out her hand. "It's weird. It is the first time my name ever had meaning.

She went over to the tv and cut it on. "Let's see if there is anything on the news about this."

Most of the channels were on the news. One was talking about the rapture, and what some were beginning to realize but the scary part were some were trying to find scientific means of why everyone disappeared... then there came to one.

"We are at the white house where one from the House of Representatives have just raised to the power of the president. He is making a speech right now to try and explain to us what is going on."

He started immediately in a soothing yet powerful voice.

"People from all over the world. I come to you today in where you'll are in turmoil. You think that millions of people around you have disappeared, family and friends. I am here to ask you, How can that be? My dear people, I have been with the finest doctors in the land and what they have told me is the truth. I have ALWAYS been your president, no one has disappeared. There is a world wide epidimic. An epidimic of delusion and amnesia. No one can disappear in thin air and there is no such thing as the rapture. Believe in me. I have awaken you'll from your sleep..." Faith couldn't believe what she saw and cut the tv off in anger.

"I think we know the one to avoid..." Faith said shaking her head sadly.

Dee stared at the television, amazed at how the media could possibly get people to believe such rubbish. Her mouth dropped open, and she was glad when Faith turned off the TV.

"I don't believe it." she said. "The sad thing is, people are actually going to believe that."

"Yes... the important thing is they have a chance to hear the truth with what some of the other newsreporters are saying... with all this confusion though... my dad said there will be war over seas and it will affect all of us..."

(This is so cool. We watched a film in church about "The End Times" and it was really neat. )

(( Yup . I'm pretty much referring back to my series of Left Behind: The Young Trib force novels to help me understand. Well, that, and the Bible. haha. ))

"Yeah," Dee replied, "that, along with all the other natural disasters should definately get people's attention."

"I wonder when... the prophecy was fulfilled when he immediately rose into power..."

Diedre shrugged. (didn't know what else to say... Writer's Block.. ))

((um, I might have got that part innacurate. I think the antichrist suppose to rise out of the 10 nations or something...))

Faith walked out on the step and saw that it was fixing to rain. The sky was really dark and then she saw it... a funnel in the background.

"Do you'll see what I see!" Faith exclaimed! "There! A tornado!!!"

(( The Antichrist is supposed to rise through diplomacy, and he's supposed to use the 10 nations to rule the world. Tee hee. I just finished watching the first two Left Behind movies. We're watching the third one in Youth Group on Friday, but two of my friends haven't seen the first two, so I invited them over to watch them. I guess it was a good refreshment for this roleplay too.

Also, the next thing to come is the signing of the treaty with Isreal, and then the world-wide earthquake a while after, right? I'm not really sure though, I'm basing a lot of this on the Left Behind: Young Trib Force novels... and, I'm guessing they're accurate. ))

Diedre rose from her seat, and ran to the window. She gazed in horror at what was about to come and gasped. She looked at Faith. "Oh no." She replied, concerned. "We have to warn these people."

((Really? Thanks for clearing that up, so would it be accurate to say that president is diplomatic? I can't remember a lot about politics! I just threw the tornado in because I was bored.))

A siren went off and people started to run everywhere like sheep without a shepherd.

"I think we should get to saftey ourselves." Faith said, looking at the category 4 starting to rip at every house in sight. It is coming this way, HURRY!!!" Faith exclaimed!

Mike ran back into the building quickly, having forgotten all other thoughts as soon as he saw the tornado.
"Hey, did you see that?!?" he asked, frightened half to death.

 

[Mayflower1]

"I think I did." Faith said in shock. "Hurry, there is a bomb shelter in the back, it should keep us safe, until the tornado finishes destroying the house!"

 

[ChristIsCalling]

(( How convenient. A bomb shelter in the back of the hospital. I wish my hospital had a bomb shelter.

Sorry. I didn't mean to make fun, or anything. I just thought it was funny. I'm known for my sarcasm. I hope you didn't take offense. ))

Diedre nodded. "Yeah, but we're not going to get anywhere with all these people panicking (sp?)" She explained, "We have to get people to calm down."

((I got it mixed up. I thought we were at my house or something. Guess what! I got to see "Left Behind" last night and it was awesome! My sister is bringing the second one next week. I kind of understand it a little more now.))

faith nodded and scared, she suddenly fell on her knees. Out of all that was going on, she suddenly fell a need for God and realized she hadn't yet talked to Him any nor trusted Him to help her with anything.

"God? Are you there? I am so sorry for faking my way through life... please forgive me... Please give me a second chance and help me through this... I know I can't make it without you... Please use me and guide me in the way you want me to go... In Jesus Name, Amen."

(( Awesome. I love those movies. The third one is amazing, but I like the second one the best. ))

Diedre smiled at Faith, and put a hand on her shoulder. "Welcome to the family." she said to her. Then, she jumped up onto a table and tried to get everyone's attention. "Hey! Everyone, please! You all need to calm down! Don't panic! We need to get below ground level as quick as possible, but we're not going to get anywhere with everybody running and screaming."
