"I understand how you feel...but i don't know if theres anything I can say to make the pain go away...thats something that will heal over time I guess...the guilt may last forever, but you'll be able to move on with God's help.....I don't know much about this Christianity stuff....but I know He'll help you." Chris looked over at her.

"My room mate used to talk to me about God...I thought that's why he disappeared, but if you believe in God, why are you still here?"

***Mark Wilson***

Mark asks John to hold on for a second. He calls his friend from school, Mackenzie. He calls her cell phone.

***John Roberts***

John wonders who Mark is talking to. He thought back to what he had done earlier. He stabbed a girl in cold blood. He wondered what had happened to that girl.

**Mackenzie Rossman**

Mackenzie was surprised to hear her cell phone ring. She thought that she had left it in the car. She started to get up.

"I'll get it."-Matt said.

"I think it's in the pocket of my hoodie..."-She said.

Matt got the phone and handed it to her.

Mackenzie looked at the caller ID. "Hello?"-She said into the phone.

"Hey Mackenzie!" Mark says.. "You're still here.. I have someone I know that is still here.. My mom is gone!" he says, crying.. "How are you?" asks Mark. "Where are you?" "I met this doctor, he seems cool.. He told me he and two other men had stabbed a family right after the disappearances.. I feel so bad with him.. He said it was the spur of the moment that he did it and they stole a car from that family.. You should meet him." say Mark. (((The conversation continues with Mackenzie)))

(No it is not to late to join. Post your character bio and if you want I can help you figure out how to tie your character into the story.)

Matt wondered who Mackenzie was talking to. He cared for this girl and he hoped she would come to Christ. He was glad that her brother was there because it helped get rid of the awkwardness of having a girl his age staying in the house, especially since there were no adults around. He would never try anything but still it was nice that her brother was there. Matt was also glad his cousin was there. He enjoyed her company and having her around helped take his mind off of his family that had dissapeared. He couldn't believe he had been so blind. He headed to his room and broke down crying. He wondered if the pain would ever go away. A minute later he thought about Mackenzie and what she must be going through. She had watched her parents get stabbed. He also realized it would be hard getting her to believe in Christ because to do that she would have to believe her parents were in Hell and that was never easy.

Jordan was so angry at Joe he stormed out of the house and left. After a little while he bumped into a lady. They talked briefly but when she asked him if he had lost anybody he got mad. He was about to leave but then realized she was just being kind. He said it was okay and then told her about going home to find their clothes. He told her what his cousin had said and how he had just left his house.

My Bio:

Name: Diedre Emily Wavers

Nickname: Dee, or D

Age: 17

Height: 5'8

Weight: 130 pounds

Hair Color/Style: Chestnut, shoulder-length curls.

Eye Color: REALLY bright green (just because I love green ;) )

Location at Time of Rapture:

Diedre looked at Derek and smiled. He was sliding down the big metal slide at the local playground. Her mother told her to watch him while she was out, and as usual, she agreed, and took him to the playground.

She watched her 4 year old brother come down the slide with that happiest look on his face. She thought, I remember when I was that care-free. and smiled at the thought.

Dee's deep, emerald eyes followed her brother until he went around the spiral in the slide.

Her smile quickly faded and her eyes widened as her brother's clothing and other small belongings came tumbling down the slide. Her breathing got slower, and heavier and she fell to her knees and crawled over to the once-occupied clothes. "Derek?" She asked, hoping for an answer, but at the same time, not expecting a reply. "Derek!"

She looked around the playground. There were other people crying, and piles of clothes scattered all over the ground.

At that instant, she knew what had happened. She sat at the bottom of the slide, with her head buried in her young brother's clothing, sobbing.

She had never really been much of a Christian. Sure, she grew up in a Christian family, but she never really believed in God. She would sit in church, and listen to the pastor speak, but secretly, she never enjoyed it. She would tell her parents that she enjoyed it, and they believed her.

After some services, her mother would ask, "Wasn't that a great service, Dee?" and she would reply, "It sure was.", but she would never mean it.

She felt guilty about lying to her parents, but she never admitted it.

Once, she listened to the pastor tell of something called the Tribulation, and the Rapture. For some reason, she grew interested, and listened well. Since then, she hasn't been able to forget that sermon. And she was glad that she didn't.

Her parents were gone, and so was her brother. And she felt so alone.

She heaved a deep sigh, and brough the clothes up to her face. She could smell the strange scent of what her brother smelled like, and, for some reason, it brought comfort.

Diedre wiped the tears from her face and she rose from the ground. She picked up her brother's clothing, and headed for her house. Dee was overcome by the loss of her family, and she hoped that they were gone, but a part of her also wished that they weren't. Was that normal? Was it selfish of her to even think about that? She quickly brushed the thought, and made her way into her house. Upon arrival, Dee opened up her front door, and it made an eerie squeak, which she was not expecting. She looked around inside. No one. Diedre headed for the living room. Her father's clothing was draped over his 'comfy chair' as he called it, with the newspaper lying half-open, facing downward on the floor. The TV was left on, and the news was on just about every channel, that mentioned the same thing, over and over. "The tradgedy continues." She heard one reporter say, "Millions all over the Earth have disappeared, and almost all have lost someone. Watch here, as one child suddenly disappears out of thin air while hold her mother's hand, while leaving absolutely everything behind, except for her body...." The news continued, and Dee, after picking up her parents clothing, folding them all up, and placing them, in a pile on her father's chair, lay down on the couch, and found herself getting more tired by the second. Tears began to flow freely from her eyes, and she cried herself to sleep.

Diedre awoke the next day, and declared that she wanted to take a walk. Staying in her house brought back painful memories. Of her parents,... her brother.

She got up, showered, and ate, and then she left the house. Not permanently, just for a while.

Dee trudged down the street. There were cars scattered all over the road, and some cranes were working their hardest to clear the street before more accidents began to happen.

Dee didn't really know where she was going. She really had no aim to go anywhere.

Later, she found herself stopping dead in her tracks... but she didn't know why. She looked around. Her bright emerald eyes landed on a church, right next to her. Dee felt... drawn to it... Like something was telling her, "Go in." Her curiosity soon took over and she walked towards the church.

Upon arrival, she looked around inside. She noticed a boy in there. He looked a little older than she was, and he was talking to someone.

She wandered into the sanctuary, and wondered why she was there. After a few minutes, she took a seat in a pew, looking around.
Dee had known, since the disappearances, why it had happened, but it wasn't until now she realized what she wanted to do, .... what she had to do. And she wasn't going to wait any longer to do it. Diedre let her head fall into her hands, and tears began to form in her eyes. She whispered, "God... I'm so sorry I've sinned against You. And I thank You so much for dying on the cross for me. I realize now, that You are real, and that You love me, and have always loved me. ... And I know I don't deserve it, ...but I ask You to forgive me... and to tell me what to do." The tears began to flow freely down her cheeks as she finished the prayer, and she rose her head from her hands, and suddenly, amidst all the chaos,... everything looked brighter. She found herself filled with... happiness,.... and relief. And that, was more comforting than anything she had ever known.

Diedre, with her eyes still red from crying, turned to see a young woman jump up from behind a pew. Hearing the thud of what she assumed to be her head hitting the pew, and her sounding the words, "Ow!" made Dee chuckle quietly. She turned away, trying not to show the woman the humor that she found in her pain.
