  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just wanted to say a formal goodbye to everyone. I am leaving this forum. I have come here to be with other Christians and to express my questions on things. I wasn't expecting to witness the hate and self righteousness I have seen from many posters on here...granted...not all are like that. I have come across quite a few nice posters on here.

But anyways, I will not make this long. It seems love on this forum only goes out to people who are "like them". Anyone who is different is an outcast and is hated on. The censorship is absurd.

I came here with struggling faith looking for answers and now my faith is even more struggling due to the hatefulness and judgment on this forum. I feel sorry for the non believer that comes on here looking for answers yet is only shown judgment and condemnation.

Goodbye everyone. I hope in time people will realize that judgment and hate does not bring people to Christ...it is that very thing that pushes them away.

Good day everyone wish you all the best.

So often "love" often comes with a disclaimer. Yes, you're right, there is a lot of hatred here re: that subject. You're not imagining it. It's depressing for those of us who are more weak in the faith. There are good people here, then there are good people here who don't know when to stop. Maybe we should try exterminating our pride instead.

Remember who died for you always. He cried out to the Father WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME; He knows our pain. Sometimes we have to walk alone and that hurts like hell.

Understand something, I do not hate you...Christians
are to uphold the Word of God and not uphold a fellow
believer who is willfully sinning...you have my agape and
prayer that you will submit fully to the Lord and live for Him.

I do not uphold my best friend who is living with her boyfriend
and she is a believer who left her husband of 21 yrs. and 3 children.
She knows I love her and pray for her often as we are in contact
with each other on FB.

I hope you find the answers you need and the love you truly do deserve.

God loves you no matter what, just remember that. This struggle will make you stronger if you do not let it take you down. If you do end up leaving God, keep in mind that He'll always wait for you and will accept you back to Him with open arms.

And if you need anything, I'm here to listen.

If you have found some "good People" why leave them? There will always be dissent. But at least here in a virtual world you can just X em out :), scroll past em or ignore em. I would use it as practice, b/c you are likely to find the same thing if you set foot in traditional churches today and it is much harder to take face to face, when they use every weapon from you family to friends--to backstab and criticize you.

Jesus had the same thing & he was perfect..and besides EVERY NOW & THEN though I admit it is rare, some one like You makes someone like them sit up an re-think a position...(Miracles do happen) Stay with us...and grow!

Just two cents:

Expecting people to be something they are not, can disappoint you, and make you feel alienated, or like you want to alienate them even ... when you really don't have to. But seeing people for what they are, and putting your expectations of what you wished them to be down ... and realizing that you have the freedom to "let them be who they are" .... whether they are hateful, or loving, ignorant or oppressed .... can help free you from the very heartache that your own expectations cause.

"Why aren't they loving ? They're supposed to be loving ?"

It's a painful trap, if you keep looking for love in places where you don't find it because it's just not there. It's freeing, when you simply recognize that it's not there ... and allow yourself to go find it where you want to go find it.

It can help you to walk away from things without a hurt, or scorned heart. Which is good for *you*. Because then you won't take others personally so much.

Just two cents if you come back and read these.

This is a hang-up for a lot of people who naively thought that the body of Christ would be a loving place...because the bible says to love, so when love is the last thing going on it's very disappointing.

So far, I've found most of the Body outside of all the churches, doctrines, books, and laws. At least, the loving parts.

Only now I'm somewhat poking my nose in again to see what "Christianity" looks like. It's hard to understand why they close themselves off from those who have love to give, and need it in return freely. I notice more people are concerned with making themselves look beautiful on the inside to God, themselves, some doctrines, a Bible ... like some self centered vanity. Someone who can't believe that they aren't fat and ugly. Rather than realizing most of us don't care about you making yourself anything other than what you are ... we just want to love you and experience you if you'd only come out to play with us lol.

Outside it's like, 90% freedom. :~) And there are lots of us out here wanting to love those within the compound lol. Because we miss them ... it hurts to be separated :~) We have things you need ... you have things we need.

Good day everyone wish you all the best.
I love you with all my heart.

Love seeks the bests for others.
Love desires truth and rejoices in it.
Love is willing to suffer the hate of others when speaking
the truth that is hated and called a lie.

Love doesn't enable sin but hates sin because sin is what separates
the people that God loves, from Himself.

It isn't a sin for a man to love another man.

Jesus made it clear that no greater love is there in that a man
would lay down his life for his brother.

I think that you are intolerant of me simply because I follow
God's word over my desire and wish that I could give everyone salvation
and eternal life, but that isn't in my power to do.

Is it love for me to change the gospel and tell people they do not
have to turn away from sin and they can continue to do those things
that God has told us are deserving of death?

I have taken a lot of criticism from those who demand love
and tolerance of their sins and yet they have shown me no love
or tolerance for my beliefs based on the Bible and Christ's teachings.

So now you are placing your departure and your dissatisfaction of Christians
and Christianity on the doorstep of those who tell you the truth not
because they want you to hate them but because they love you
and want you to know what God has declared and what God requires of you
so that you will not miss out on all that God has meant for you in Christ.

Real love stands up in the face of hate and tells the truth not for
the sake of the one telling the truth but for the hearers sake.

Jesus told the truth and they crucified Him.
They called Him a liar.
They accused Him of doing the devils work.
They accused Him of blasphemy.
They condemned Him even though all He said was for loves sake.

I will not call evil good and good evil.

I know what sin is.

I know that all must repent and turn from their sins before
they can receive Christ as their savior.

I know that after a person receives Christ they must make Him Lord
of their life and follow His ways and flee sin and immorality.

I pray that God will lead you to His truth....

Jesus told the most religious and upright people (the Pharisees) that
their sins were not forgiven because they would not admit that they had sinned.

If those who kept the law better than you or I could ever keep it were told
that their pious life wasn't good enough, what hope do we have
if we call sin a virtue and convince ourselves we do not have to turn away
from our newly dubbed virtue?

Don't follow your ideas but follow Christ....

Where do you find the body outside the body? I live in southern CA, right smack in the middle of OC. Things tend to be very superficial around here, period.

I have a missionary friend out of country. She is about the closest thing to the body outside the body I know. Before she left she would invite her over neighbors who were lesbians, and sing to them, talk to the about the Lord, pray for them, talk to them about the gospel - and they wanted to be there. They would contact her and ask to come over. She would tell me these powerful stories about how these women's lives would be impacted by the gospel (in action). My friend would just get in there and love on people face to face. I don't know what ended up happening with the girls, who were a couple I believe. And my friend cannot contact me much.

nightfire201, I understand what you're saying. Christians act on here the same way they do everywhere else - sorry.

I was really proud of you for asking questions and searching together for the answers. Hopefully, you will reconsider. Blessings.

I find myself wanting to type ... and list every kind of person imaginable. The list would be too long.

Atheists. Agnostics. Prostitutes. Drug dealers. Indigos. Murders. Homosexuals. Heterosexuals. Terrorists. Muslim. Sikh. Witches. Otherkin. Liars. Cheaters. Lesbians. Demon possessed. Physicians. Paramedics. Bartenders. Victims. The hungry. The top dogs. The bottom dogs. The hot and sexy. The awkward and sexy. The ugly. The beautiful. The injured. The healthy. The wealthy. The poor. The lonely. The weak. The seekers. The stranger. Angels. Adulterers. Sinners.

Human beings.

The body is there, because I am there also. As are others who both know they are now, and don't know they are yet lol. I enjoy them, they enjoy me, the Lord is with us. And when love is present, I'm always amazed to see life come to those who are dead, and I feel more alive as well.

The body is out being the body, finding the body, completing the body, redeeming what's been lost to others and ourselves, undoing the works of the enemy in our lives so that we can be free, trying to find food when we're hungry ... but doing it together. Dying for each other ... dying for those who will never pay us back. Living with each other. Trying to help the lost find their way ... it's always reciprocal. You awaken someone who is asleep, give sight to someone who is blind ... and they have things you need, to complete your own experience and world. That's what the body is. We're all around doing this thing lol. It's not always pretty .... I don't like loss, or suffering, or seeing those whom I love suffer judgement. But ... they need us. And we need them. We're in it together right now .... all of the different types of beings. Enemies can be a challenge ... they're out here. It seems as though they've almost hypnotized believers though. Bewitched them or something. And we have something to our advantage: freedom, and eternity. We can go through the fires with others, or the top of the clouds. We can save those from destroying their lives. And we are more "whole", and there is less suffering. Or if there is suffering .... some of us, we go down together, with the hope of rising together. We stumble and fall together. We admit we are sinners together, without shame. Shame becomes a "choice" you no longer have to experience.

It's hard though ... because there is a lot going on out here lol .... and some of us could use some help.

Good day everyone wish you all the best.

I've seen this a number of times. I agree, and also try to avoid turning non believers away from God.

I wish you the best, too. God bless.
