It's adjacent to another city that is well known for its high crime rate. Living only 1 block away from the city line, we do see some bad things.

Don't know, I don't remember disliking any vacation or trip I have been on. There has always been some nice things to see, as well as being able to meet some interesting people. (Sorry for the boring answer!)
