• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Sorry, I felt the need to revive this thread! LDR's can definitely be an amazing blessing! I wouldn't know Clay nearly as well as I know him now if we weren't in an LDR. We talk every single day and sometimes late at night! I think that late night phone conversations are incredible. I love those as well. And the times we do have together are even more amazing. I

She's in one with someone in a different country, Ally and flounder...I think from other posts she's made in other threads she's struggling a bit as well.

All I can say is this, Peculairone...trusting in God is paramount. Danie and I have survived for over 4 months now, and I believe that we would have split a long time ago if we weren't relying on God to lead us. We had an issue that arose last week that could have potentially led to us splitting, but sticking to the truth and our feelings for each other helped us to ride that trough and come out with a stronger bond between us. A LDR's a rollercoaster of many different things, and placing God at the controls will help you and your partner stay on the rails. :)

Thanks soooo much for this post. You explained my 2 previous posts best and you gave me a great answer. I will take the advice too.

My beau and I have been going out for 6 months now. Last time I saw him was 6 months. So I will discuss it with him about incorporating God mor ein the relationship.

Thanks again. :)

I know what it's like to be in a different country that your SO. Although we don't have an ocean between us, he lives in South Carolina (USA) and I live in British Columbia (Canada). I haven't seen him since August but I get to see him on December 20th because I'm going to visit him! But I know just how hard it is. We can't take it much longer and are working toward getting married in October because we know that it's God's will and that we will be happy being married to each other for the rest of our lives. :)

/me sighs happily

You're most welcome - always happy to pass on any advice based on what I've experienced already. :)

Ain't that the truth? I love sharing my experiences with others so that they can learn from my mistakes. And offering advice, even though it may not always be taken, is always a good thing. :)
