That is only if Baggage handlers go through TSA security, and seeing they don't, just another Nighthawk misunderstood thread.

The point here is obvious. If baggage handlers can take items out of the baggage they handle with near impunity, then they can place items in the baggage they handle with that same impunity.

Of course to some whether this thread is in the correct forum is more important than any question of airline security and certainly more important than any honest discussion of Islamic terrorism. Because there always exist the fallback position, that if a US carrier exploded shortly after take off it would be Bush's fault.

Implications in regards to TSA and airport security would appear to be profound ... but will anyone ask the appropriate questions?
Such as, what good are those background checks when thieves work in baggage handling?

Why can't we lock our luggage? When it's deemed a security risk and yet as this case shows, its an opportunity for those who would otherwise be deterred by secured baggage.

If this element is in baggage handling, how can we presume terrorists aren't there too? What's the difference? Means, motive, opportunity.

Without having the ability to lock our luggage, and soft sider baggage is always at a risk to a sharp knife, every plane is at risk for theft or worse.

Honestly Sistrin, did any of the baggage handlers have ties to Islamic terrorism?

My questions are:
What does this have to do with American Politics?
What do baggage handlers have to do with the TSA?

This has shown there have been baggage handles that have been far from honest. If they will steal for a small profit will they kill for a large one?

If they do not go through security it would be an easy thing to do.

This is on top of the over $500,000 in "lose change" collected at screening lines. The question is, what did they do with the money?

The TSA Found More Than $500,000 In Loose Change. Now What?

"Unclaimed Money At Airports" report, which was released earlier this year, the travel safety agency announced that it had collected a whopping $531,395.22 in pocket change from harried travelers. The amount represented a $44,000 increase from 2011, according to USA Today.

Under current law, the TSA is permitted to simply spend the money on itself

So if you accidently drop a $20 spot on the floor while fishing for your ID, it belongs to TSA. Can't imagine them saying, "excuse me sir, you dropped something".....
