  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Okay, I admit, I don't even watch CSI. But I love Law & Order, both regular & SVU. (The other spin-offs don't interest me.) And I was very sorry to hear about Jerry Orbach's death. He was a really big part of what made the series great.

i like them all

of law and order, criminal intent is my fave cause the characters are interesting - and not typical

i don't liek csi miami much - i like the original better - better characters - we've only had a couple of episodes of NY here so far

I must say, I also very much like NCIS - again, we're behind so i'm not sur ehow much the show develops, but the character interaction is good and I love the bits of humour - it does bother me that the humour is tending a little more towards the sexual though - which is why i wanted to point out we're behind - a little through the second season i think - if it develops more along those lines it won't impress me

CSI simply because I've never seen Law & Order. I'm working my way through the first season of CSI (watched 1-9 last night :p) and there were a couple episodes that were amazing and a few others that really kept your attention. For example: Episode 5 - Friends and Lovers -- the kid who plays the best friend of the dead boy is really adept at what he does: making the viewer emotional connected and showing the dangers of drugs. I had tears coming to my eyes though the "denuement" where the crime is explained.

Other powerful episode: Episode 7 - Blood Drops (also called 2 other names... can't recall right now) where 4 family members get murdered and the two daughters are the only ones to survive. The ending is very powerful and you really feel for the older girl's plight.

I like L&O:SVU and CI. I saw the first episode of the newest spinoff and liked it a lot. I like the strong women characters ;) Plus the one actress used to be on Third Watch...! I can't really watch CSI anymore. I get really gruesome dreams... but I do love CSI: Miami. I really like Horatio....

Assuming that you are just comparing the original of each, I like CSI better (so I voted accordingly), but I really like L&O:Criminal Intent, because I love watching Vincent D'Onofrio act. He's really good.....

He's really good..... oh, and I like NCIS a lot, but I agree about the sexual humor, it's kinda trashy. I like Ducky.....
