• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The Lord have given me a burden Many Christians AGAIN, are makig excuses for turning their backs on their fellowman by quoting laws.

The iron will of "cheap labor" have infiltrated our government and led these people to come to the USA for work. These people are our brothers too. Most of them just want a better life for their children. Please help to give people dignity and a chance to live humane. These people do not want our sympathy they need help and mostly want to be treated with respect.

Yes, we should regulate our borders but why criminalize those who are here?

I wanted to hear from PMFA and other SDA but I understand if this thread is moved another location.

You can help by finding a Spanish church in your neighborhood. The Holy Spirit will lead you further.

These people are flooding to the Churches because they know that only God can help them.

I connected to this outreach ministry through a SDA pastor and we can use all the prayers and help we can get.

What do you think?

Brother (from the) Hood

Crib -- I respect your passion for people.

I think all humans are equally valuable, and believe we all have responsibilities to each other. I don't believe the nation-state is the final frontier in human social development; it's imperfect in many ways, but it's also what we're working with for now and that will remain the case until we outgrow it for another form. We seem to need forms.

Pursue your passion, your calling; and encourage others to pursue theirs also. Don't expect those passions and callings to match but trust that, from the largest of perspectives, all parts fit.

Thanks for showing folks some love.

Crib,

Each coin has a head side and a tail side. This is also true in the natural order of God's things.

When the coin is on its edge you can see both sides.
When the coin is laying flat you can only see one side.

A human without discipline and without respect for the property of others will relate to the hunger in their stomach the same way any animal relates.

As we relate to those who are hurting we observe that some are more respectful of the space of others. Some are more like the animal, restrained only by the fear of death. Those who come out of desperation are in a basic animal need.

Those who come trying to have a future have some sense of ownership. They may not be as forgiving of you if you went to the place of their "ownership" and moved in without being invited.

There is a vast difference in these two frames of mind, as our Lord Jesus gave in the object lesson of the man who was forgiven but could not forgive.

Be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove.

Joe

A medical missionary team from NAPS was present this Sabbath to intro some new members to the church. "Spanish SDA" church
My wife was the guest speaker for an International Womans Day. It was amazing.

When we stand with these brothers and sisters, we dont condone or jugde their action. We feed them, love on them and introduce them to Jesus. When treated as human beings rather than "illegal aliens", they can better face their struggles knowing that they have a family of Christian who stand beside them.

When they're jailed, our court system charge $5,000.00 for bail.
Lawyers wants $$$$$$$ thousands up front, Immigration wants thousand. Each case is differnet. $$$$$$$$$

One dear brother and church elder had a US sponser for over 20yrs. This sponsor never helped his status beyond working at a plant. That status never advanced but it did allowed him to file papers to bring his wife over. Now they have 2teenagers who are American citizens. The sponsor died and the plant laid him off. After spending over $17,000.00 in the court system, this brother went back to Mexico.
There is no electricity or ways to stay in touch with this dear brother and friend.:prayer::groupray: (I'm wounded with greif, but I know that God has a plan for him.)

This is tough stuff
