CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A minister decided to do something a little differ ent one Sunday
morning. He said, "Today, church, I am going to say a single word
and you are going to help me preach. Whatever single word I say, I
want you to sing whatever hymn that comes to your mind."
The Pastor shouted out, "Cross!"
Immediately the congregation started singing in unison, "The Old
Rugged Cross."
The Pastor hollered out, "Grace!"
The congregation began to sing, "Amazing Grace, how sweet the
sound."
The Pastor said, "Power!"
The congregation sang, "There is Power in the Blood."
Then the Pastor said, "Sex."
The congregation fell in total silence. Everyone was in shock.
They all nervously began to look around at each other afraid to
say anything.
Then all of a sudden from way in the back of the church a little
old 87 year old grandmother stood up and began to sing.....
"Precious Memories."

Yes, some of our kids went for a drive on Good Friday afternoon and decided to change their plans as the traffic was at a standstill. Our eldest was home here with us from Thursday till today, cyg!
