Lol I used to work in a calling center and we had all sorts of weird names, but the one I remember in particular is this guy named Mr. Pucy, you can imagine the jokes... the guy that took the call actually had the guts to purposefully pronounce it like something else, and faked surprise and apology when he got corrected, the client said it was supposed to be pronounced pew-cee.

My last name, if pronounced the way it is spelled, is a mildly vulgar sexual slang term. (For the sake of having something to laugh at, I'll say my name is Pusse. It isn't, and that isn't the term, but it gives you some idea.)

On a completely unrelated note, I am a substitute teacher, mostly with junior high and high school.

Do I deliberately misspell my name when I write it on the board? YES I DO!

Learned that one the first day.

If I had a last name like any of those I would change it.

When my parents divorced, my sister was really rooting for my mom to start using her maiden name again, so she would have a reason to do just that.

Sadly, she didn't.

in college i knew a guy whose last name was Funke (pronounced funky) and a girl whose last name was Musick. we always said they should get married and hyphenate their name so it would be Funke-Musick!

on my vacation last week i learned about these rich heiresses in my uncle's city whose names were Ima Hogg and Ura Hogg. they lived a while ago, i think, but i can't believe they didn't get their names changed! i was at the art museum and i was reading on one of the plaques, donated by Ima Hogg... i just couldn't believe it was a real name!

This may sound rude but in England is quite common for the following surname: Mycock

I had to call a customer once with that name and believe me that was a dificult thing to do when I had to ask for him.

Later on i checked the yellow pages and found that in fact are hundreds of people with this surname.

I would say that philip mycock (short for phil) might be the most un-usual.
