Have to apologize as I forgot to post a link to a source. Come Oct 20th, there's a good chucnk of police officers on the LAPD force that are refusing vaccinations. Nearly 40 percent hadn't gotten the shot.

I can't help but to think this is a macho thing as well.
The irony of this is their motto "to protect and to serve" an the irony behind one caveat, that they don't have vaccinate. They are always in constant contact with the public, a lot undesirables that are also probably unvaccinated.
Of course, the LAPD isn't the only police force opposing their employees from getting the jab. In Chicago, there's a police union head that's encouraging cops to defy the mandate given by their employer.

I recall when browsing a dating site a woman that I knew of that's a local cop that said, "If you feel the need to wear a face covering to feel protected, then we'd not make a good match"
I can't believe one would take an oath to "protect and serve" when they are breaking that oath by not getting vaccinated.
