  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Proves nothing...heretical teachings go back to the time of Paul.
I agree it doesn't prove anything. The point you responded to was merely a side comment concerning the "new invention" claims in posts 120 & 134.

Revelation 22:18-19 is a double edged sword.

I'm amazed at the suggestion that American churches form a monolithic whole. I would say that there are many different kinds of American churches.

That is precisely what I wrote in my first post on this thread. How many times does it need to be repeated?

If you want to take a Revelations view, wouldn't it be 3 groups: hot, cold, and lukewarm?
Perhaps,
but even there,
they are still 2 groups per se, > sheep and goats.
They all get separated later, if not sooner.... ....

That is the reality and why I don't buy into the idea of there being seen types of Christians churches and/or periods of time based on the seven churches in Revelation.

At the present time in America I see many tares among the wheat in various churches. Some have more and some have less.

Don't worry - IT'S FREE ! (you don't have to BUY IN ) :)
Yes, people's lives,
and church 'stages'
go through descriptive phases/ cycles
that may be just like as described in the types and periods
revealed in
the "seven churches" / candlestickes/ messengers/ revelation
of Y'SHUA to JOHN the APOSTLE .....

and more than one parable or analogy may
at different times apply
but much of what SCRIPTURE SAYS
cannot be "applied" today
because of the "rules" "applied" that today
we are all subject to
here,
for now.
