  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

God is a God of all tongues, so what other languages does everybody speak? Or perhaps English may be a second language to someone? Which ever the case it'd be interesting to see.

For me, being raised Croatian with parents from there who moved to Canada when they were younger...it was easy learning to speak Croatian, it's all my parents knew when they moved to Canada! If anything, learning english was harder for me.

I probably speak more Croatian than English most of my days, which is not typical for somebody who was born and raised in Canada. And to add some spin to this question, is anybody fluent in a different language?

I know a couple arabic words and some spanish though no where near fluent with my spanish. I've always wanted to learn other languages but the states doesn't require it and my high school didn't offer much. If I have the credit hours, I'll see about taking it up in college :)

i speak very bad french. i'm sure the french would be insulted with not only my american accent but my limited ability in it. i understand it pretty well though.

also, when i'm in germany i can understand it but that's the extent of my knowledge. i can say yes, no, good luck, good night, i can sing part of a song in german(not sure what song it is though), i know the word for glue, and sadly i know a few curse words.

i can pick up some spanish but i'm pretty much lost when i hear it.

that's it!

I speak some German and Japanese, they were my majors at Uni. I'm rusty since that was a while ago now lol. I know a few sentences in French (enough to get by as a tourist in Montreal), and am just starting to learn Indonesian. Woohoo it is my new hobby. I have some friends in Indonesia who are sorta tutoring me.
