  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This is a new online photo gallery that I've set up to show my photographs. Specializing in landscape and travel photography, mainly of the far east and Great Britain (good mix!)

The galleries are growing daily, as more and more photos are added.

Please tell all of your friends about Hako photo!

Regards!
William

Mister Wako!!

I have to say God has given you a wonderful gift I so admire! I have always had a love affair with photography! I have a sony F707....saved quite a while to buy it. Still do not know alot of its capabilities......but I miss my old 35 mm. I love black and white photography....I like the old movies too!

I will be checking your site quite a bit....and hopefully with your permission adding it to my site of a place to visit! If you do not mind? Thanks soo much for sharing!

Flynmonkie - Please look in as often as possible! I'm uploading photos daily, so there will always be something new to see. I'll be uploading some black and white photos of London soon - the real London, not the places you seen on postcards!

It might not have been obvious, but you can view the various galleries by clicking on the keywords underneath the grey box (mountains/towns/sky etc.)

Sonifo - thanks for the kudos! You have a great camera there. I haven't made the plunge into digital yet. The technology is advancing sooo fast.

The colour and clarity of the photos is down to the film. Fuji Velvia (may be called something different in the States?) and Kodak Extra Colour EliteChrome.

I tend not to advertise what camera I use because what camera you use doesn't matter, it's the eye behind the camera that makes a good shot! But since you ask, I use an OM4ti 35mm camera and Zuiko lenses (24mm, 50mm and 135mm).

Yes I did find this (I have to say it took some looking, but I think it is awesome!)

I will be back! This is just amazing stuff! Have you sold much of your artwork? Published? As a child, I always was convinced I wanted to be a National Geographic Photographer....exploring the world through pictures for those who could not see the many simple and exquisite beauties of Gods earth. But I wanted to take pictures of EVERYTHING and write about it!

Oh the things you have been witness to! Thank you so much for sharing these with the world. They are wonderful!!!

I agree with you there. My old camera is a Sony DSC-S70. It won me many of challenges. I own a 18-55 mm lens. I would like to get a lens with more zoom, but not sure what is the best.

A 18-55 lens on a digital camera compares (roughly) with a 24-80 lens on a standard 35mm SLR. This is a good range for most types of photography.

The obvious choice, if you want to increase you zoom range would be to buy a 50-140 lens (which compares to a standard 70-210mm). This is a very common zoom range, and combined with the lens you already have should give you a lot of creative control.

It's worth remembering that Henri Cartier Bresson used nothing more than a 50mm lens!

Mr. Hako,
Those are very lovely!
Thank you.
I will share your pictures of waterfalls with my husband.
We have many waterfalls in Michigan's upper peninsula.
We have spent many wonderful vacations photographing them.
Maybe someday my husband will sign up for Christian Forum and the two of you will correspond!
Best wishes,
Sincerely,
Susan
