Hi There

I do agree with you that there is a lack of evangelical out reach in the church. Personally, I have felt the calling of God on my life since I was in my early teens. I desire greatly to work with youths and families and as such I am now doing graduate studies in this area.

One of the challenge I find is waiting for the Lord to give me specific instructions. I feel as though I am in a preparation process and in anxious to fulfill my God given purpose.

Please remember me in your prayers.

The LORD has already given you the instruction, get some Gospel tracts and place them where the pizza places put their coupons-Now GO!

I just wanted to say, be encouraged!! My hubby and I felt the same way, it seems like it takes so long for the Lord to bless and give back. But we had been praying for the Lord to enlarge our territory and he placed a vision on our hearts about a year ago and he finally opened the door for us to do it. We finally have our own ministry called racing for the son ministries and we actually worked in the field this past weekend at a biker rally. It was tough but worth it. I am new to the forum, but happy to be here because I need the encouragement from other christians to be out in the field serving God. It is tough and we do suffer for what we do, but we do it for good reason. I was so down at the rally, because they placed us in a low exposure spot, and we did not get a break on the $600 dollar price to be out there so we came out so in the hole and I was so upset, but then I realized why were there and that God will make it up to us. Bikers are tough soles to reach, but I figured just them knowing we were there is all that needed to happen. Yes, we were mocked, but we prayed with some, talked with some, and were also prayed over for our ministry to grow and prosper by other christian motorcycle clubs. All in all it was a great experience after I realized why we were there.

That is awesome Ellie! So many think their enfirmities, bad circumstances are suffering for Christ. Suffering for Christ as taught in the Word of God, to be hermeneutically correct, is actually suffering for the sake of the Gospel or suffering while serving the Lord. I commend you for what you are doing. Don't be down since after all we're told suffering is a gift given to us. We should be glad and honored to share in suffering. I have been mocked and yelled at but afterwards, when we realized we weren't going to die, we were euphoric in realizing we were being persecuted for Christ's sake. Keep up the good fight. God Bless.

They're still out there spreading the good news and more importantly God is still saving. Just stick to your particular callings and ministries and wait..

"...And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
-Luke 21:28

AMEN.

Yeah I hear ya, Most of mine I have to buy at a christian bookstore or off of a ministry website. After that I share, we put them on our ministry table when we are in the field. Even worse than not being able to find books is they are trying to take God out of everything. Schools included. I have a thought, if people do not believe in God then why to they celebrate Christmas with us? It is a christian Holiday, why don't they pick a different day, instead of wrecking ours and saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. Just a thought..HMMMM

Thanks for your applause. And it will be up to God and the dreams he has placed in our hearts whether it makes it or not. So we have left that in his hands as we move forward with pure hands and a pure heart to help those that need help. If I just gave up then I would not be serving God the way he intended me to serve. No, I will never get to the root of the problem nor solve the root of the problem that is way to big for me and way over my head. Only God can solve the problem. In the meantime, if I can make a difference in someones life, that's what I will do. I will not worry about other people and their selfish greed, I will leave room for God to judge them. That is not my responsibility. My responsibility is to make the presence of God known and to help someone that may need a meal on their table or an electical bill paid. Or a child dying of cancer to offer some hope to them and their family as they struggle wading through the astronomical medical bills and trying to pay their bills. That's who I am, and if it takes away a meal from my own family then so be it, because God will always provide everything that my family and my ministry needs to get through life. My ministry is not about making money so I can succeed, my ministry is about changing a life for the better. I cannot change the world's problems, but I can indeed help another life. I live in God's economy and I don't worry about the world's economy or where it is headed. That is none of my business. If I sat and worried about the ecomony, I would be very sad and worried about if my husband had a job tomorrow and if he was going to make enough money to put food on our table. Boy, if I did that, I would have myself in a corner throwning a pity party. No, God has never left his children begging for bread. Nor has he never not supplied the things this family needs to sustain life. So, I will continue to live and surround myself with God's kingdom and his promises to me and not worry about where the world is headed with their selfish greed and why the economy is like it is. God said it would be like this and also he also told his children not to worry and to fear not. So, with that said, I will continue to walk in his promises and see where they lead me. A little faith goes a long way..
