If I thought I had a reasonable chance of getting away with it, I would. However, if I didn't, I don't think I'd lie for the child. I don't see how it's life is worth any more than my own.

I just think it is pointless for me to risk death to save one person, when I could live and save the lives of many or die to save the lives of many.

Doesn't anyone see that this thread is a reaction to the "lying for morality" thread? Most people there rejected the idea of lying for a moral cause. Congrats, you've given lynn18 a chance to gloat at your hypocrisy.
