It's the embodiment of the core value of "selfishness"
It is what drives "Nationalism" and is the core tenant for Trump, and was the single ethical principle by which the Trump administration was driven by.

It can be justified by "I'll do what's in my best interests and I leave everyone else to look after their own best interests"

So promoting anti-vax and anti masks does lead to deaths in his audience, but that is what his audience wants to hear anyway and hence drives up his viewership and hence the advertising revenue.
If people take his advice, that's on them, their choice after all, and that leads to only 1% of those dying, it's not a significant loss on his viewership and won't impact advertising revenue. So worth it in the long run as it keeps his employer happy and probably helps on bonuses and perhaps next contract negotiations.

Tucker Carlson is in the entertainment business. The issue seems to be his watchers consume his entertainment as valid news. It's odd that conservatives value opinions from those who thumb their nose at the poor and even middle class America. No wonder they always seem upset. The very people whom they entrust continually exploit their biases and grievances for profit.

On the point of Ukraine being Orthodox, you seemed to indicate the whole faith is problematic and then the problem of church & state with Putin. I agree on the church state problem in re to Putin. I was pointing out that millions of Ukrainian Orthodox are also victims and that this seemed to be a missed point.

Re weapons falling to Russia, perhaps yet the same administrative apparatus let plenty fall into the Taliban.

Russian church attendance is pretty low it seems.
