KOTOR question

Hi guys, I didn't have an XBOX till I got my 360.... so I know everyone else here has probably beaten KOTOR....

BUT.......

I am stuck in the sith base on Manaan. I looked at a faq (I hate that) and it said I need to get a piece of information from the training center to defend myself at trial.

However....

The door to the Training center is locked, and my character is not skilled enough to pick it.

Am I at the point that this game is unsalvagable?

Well, it's been a while since I played KOTOR, but I believe that even if you don't get that piece of info, you can still successfully defend yourself in court.

I looked on the Gamespot.com KOTOR Walkthrough, and it said that if you accept the Missing Selkath quest in the mercenary enclave, than you should end up fighting a dark jedi in the Training Annex section of the base. If you search his locker there, there should be a datapad that has incriminating evidence on it.

I loved that game, I played it at least 4 times. MAke sure and pick up the sequel as well, KOTOR II: The Sith Lords. I liked it even better than KOTOR, and it is only about $20 now.

unfortunately my last save is in the base. But I'll try to defend myself without the info.

Any suggestions how? I'm a lightside character, should I lie?
