Probably not the right place to put this, but what do you think about this statement:

'Genesis does not depict human psychology but rather treats individuals as mythical embodiments of morals and sin'

(In a bid for honesty, this is an essay question i have as part of my literature degree - with your permission, you will ofcourse be acknowledged, or i can make it an anonymous CF contribution - I've hit the dissertation brick wall and am looking for some other insight from fellow Christians who fancy discussing the Bible in terms of it's role as literature)

I'd say I largely agree with that statement. Although I think Genesis is not only about morality and sin, but also about the emergence of human civilization and the conflicts that came with it, for example.
