There is nothing in the works that can possibly replace a 777. There is nothing in the works that could allow Electric trains across the US, there is nothing in the works that would replace convoys of trucks or ships that carry all our goods.

BTW. You electric vehicle is charged by an electric plant that uses fossil fuels.

While I deeply admire your all encompassing knowledge of future development projects of naval, rail, freight and aviation engineering instead of resorting to bullheaded denial of reality that has perhaps characterized some of your earlier posts the electricity that goes in any electric device is produced by following percentages in US

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)

fossil fuels are on the way out along with their proponents.

It is not a green deal or fake news like Trump saving coal miners. It is the future.

we still need fossil fuels for many things, but there are many things we don't need them for, considering that fossil fuels are running out, isn't it better to save them for the stuff we still need?

They are not really running out anytime soon. What is happening is that the most easily drilled places where the production costs are low will dry up sooner or later which makes the next drill that much more expensive while other technologies become cheaper and more effective.

Fossil fuels are not running out. No need to save them.

Fossil fuels are not running out. No need to save them.

No need to unnecessarily use them either. Like Saudi-Arabia.

Just imagine with the amount of solar power they get all year around how much of their own oil they could have saved and sold if they had made a it goal few decades ago.

Wow a modified Cessna. And it flew a whopping 30 min. That would get four people from Tulsa to Oklahoma City.

This is why the Green New Deal propaganda falls to pieces in real life.

Thankfully, Biden isn’t proposing to stop fossil fueled Air travel anytime soon. As the technology allows, we can move to cleaner travel. But there is no reason to prop up a dying and deadly industry, why would we do that?

"The recently published Department of Energy 2017 U.S. Energy and Employment Report shows that clean electricity jobs are no doubt the engine that drives America’s electric energy economy, outstripping the number of paychecks provided by the fossil fuel industry by at least five to one...."

With loss of 18% workforce in that sector due to pandemic, it won't be a plus for any candidate against opening the economy. As James Carville said years ago, "its' the economy, stupid"

U.S. clean energy sector loses 18% of jobs during pandemic -report

a dying and deadly industry that produces or is used to produce the following

  • Paraffin wax
  • non-food products such as wax emulsions, construction board, matches, candles, rust protection, and vapour barriers.

  • Petroleum coke, used in speciality carbon products such as certain types of electrodes, or as solid fuel.
  • Plastics
  • Shampoos
  • Vaseline
  • Plates
  • Along with just a few other items listed above

Hardly seems like a dying industry

Then you can let the OP know there is nothing to be concerned about!

But seriously, you’d have to have your head in the sand not to have heard the news, and it’s coming from the industry itself.

Doesn't exactly look like a dying entity - not even in China.

This was one question from six months ago. Biden didn’t propose to shut down the oil industry. It’s a question of where R and D and new investment should go. The existing energy industry has plenty of its own capital, and its investing it in green technology anyway.

You’re welcome to keep your head in the sand, then. And while you’re at it, you can invest in coal!

As for your last post, your Fox News addicted friends may be surprised to hear of all of the ways we use petroleum, but environmentalists have been talking about it for many years.

Ah yes, the foxnews boogeyman trot it out when all else fails.

Readers will note I quoted fossil fuel industry sources, not news sources.

I mean, there could be another reason you thought that it would be news to other posters that there are a lot of petroleum products. I figured it’s because that is not something people in your social circle are generally aware of.

Dude- ever heard of a battery? If you aren’t aware of the technology that already exists how can you discuss this stuff?
Do you know how much a battery would weigh the airplane would never get off the ground but dont let that discourage you, Dude.

LOL. Social circles That made me laugh.

you claim fossil fuels are dying....

I respond factually showing the demand and production is on a steady growth. Then also showed the 140 or so applications and products dependent on fossil fuel.

The very best you have to prove it is a dying industry is to mention Fox News and question my social circle?
