King Charles has shared an Easter message on Maundy Thursday in which he said that the world still needs "faith, hope and love."

"One of the puzzles of our humanity is how we are capable of both great cruelty and great kindness," he said.

"This paradox of human life runs through the Easter story and in the scenes that daily come before our eyes — at one moment, terrible images of human suffering and, in another, heroic acts in war-torn countries where humanitarians of every kind risk their own lives to protect the lives of others.

The Easter message leaves many, here in the UK, disappointed.
Easter is a Christian holiday. It marks the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ after His death made an atonement for sins.
Islam is diametrically opposed to the Easter message. It does not believe in Jesus' atoning death. It does not believe Jesus died at all and therefore does not believe in the resurrection.
Our monarch needs to realise he is the head of the Church of England and act as such - as his mother did. He cannot compromise his role.

His mother was very faithful and respected other traditions. She didn’t praise other religions on one of the most important days for the Church. I wonder what will happen when in the near future when Prince William becomes King? Does he even pray or go to Church regularly? I don’t know.

This is kind of like how our previous President in America decided to declare Easter as the Trans Day of Visibility.

I see nothing offensive in the King's remarks. He is merely recognizing what is true. Jesus was a Jew, and Judaism and Islam both share similar social values.

The King of Britain also has to represent the entire nation of his country, not just Christians. His Eastern address should not be construed as a purely religious sermon.
