Name: Bohden Vasska
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 180 pounds

Appearance: Though he's not the tallest man in the room, Bohden's erect stature, broad, strong shoulders and piercing blue gaze often makes him seem as if he's taller than his actual height. His straight hair is dark blonde, almost a brown, and is cut short, though some does curl at the back of his neck if he lets it get too long. His features are stern and angular, but not cold, lines beginning to take hold in his skin at the edges of his eyes and then up on his brow as well, just above his nose. He wears a thin beard and mustache, closely cropped and neat. He's not the most dashing man, but he is handsome in his own way.

His clothes consist mostly of silks and other fine fabrics. He wears a gold wedding band on his left ring finger and his signet ring on the opposite ring finger, but wears no other jewelry unless appearing at an event or party. Except for his crown, of course. He wears one from morning until night, though it isn't always the same one depending on what must be done that day. Normally, he only wears a thin gold wreath about his head. And then for other occasions, he has two other crowns he can wear depending on what type of business he must attend to. And though he has bodyguards and castle guards surrounding him much of the day, he still wears a dagger at his side and will sometimes carry a single-shot pistol when he travels.

Personality: Bohden really isn't one for emotion. He doesn't like showing it and he is uncomfortable around those who show a lot. He's not cold or callous, though sometimes he can come across that way. He's a good king, overall. Not overly demanding or harsh, but does expect respect and for his orders to be carried out and his laws to be obeyed, and the punishment for failing to do so can sometimes be severe. He is confident, businesslike, intelligent and calculated, though very stubborn, and he can have a bit of a temper, which usually tends to come to the surface around his wife as they have a strained relationship.

Background: The firstborn son of the previous king, Bohden was raised from the time he was a young child in a manner that would prepare him to be king, stealing much of his childhood as he was not allowed to run and play like other children, but rather required to act more as a young adult, in a manner befitting a prince of Adherin. As he got older, he had numerous tutors and scholars who educated him about history and politics, cultures and languages, laws and traditions. And when he was finally old enough to accompany his father in much of a king's duties, the people grew to like and respect him as prince.

When he was twenty-three years old, Bohden's father announced it was time for his son to marry and went in search of the perfect bride. He was dying of a cancerous illness and wanted to be sure the kingdom had a queen and also an heir before he died, though he never lived to see his grandson. After a search, the king thought he had found just the woman, Lady Ruby from the Driscol family. However, before Bohden could be joined in marriage with her, she fled Kalden to escape the engagement. Though his father was outraged, Bohden was merely disappointed. He had liked and respected young Ruby as the two of them weren't far apart in age and had grown up seeing one another from time to time, her father as one of the king's right-hand men. In an effort to spare Ruby from the king's wrath, her father appealed to the king with the second-eldest daughter of the Driscol family...Sapphire, a young woman of great beauty and intrigue. The king accepted and the engagement was announced. Soon after their marriage, however, Bohden found out that Sapphire's beauty was more on the outside than on the inside...at least in regards to the way she acted with her husband. She tended to irritate him, often on purpose, and he, in turn, would lose his temper...or days would pass when they would completely ignore one another, until their relationship became quite strained and continues to be that way to this day. They spend little time with one another now, as evident by their only having one child. Bohden pours his time and energy into the kingdom in an attempt to find happiness and fulfillment there instead of with his wife, though he does spend time when he can with his young son in an effort to prepare him for becoming king someday.
