don't usually watch much news anymore but sometimes catch beginning or end of local news when they share the kindness of neighbor stories

about three years in a row, my next door neighbor and I found a flower pot on our front porches around the time of local garden sales
asked her if she gave it to us and she said no, she didn't know who gave it to us, either
it was a mystery; never did figure out who gave them to us

this isn't a stranger one but is cool:
the church had bagged up 12 empty plastic eggs with a paper that said "you've been egged" which one tapes to a person's door
one fills up 11 eggs with a treat and leave the 12th empty representing the empty tomb
we decided to egg one of our child's younger cousins
we weren't home for a while afterwards but then arrived home to find out we'd been egged as well
thought they must have seen us out their window and decided to egg us back so called to thank them
they did NOT know it was us as said they'd arrived home to find they were egged
cousin was so excited about being egged, they went out right away and bought enough eggs/candy to egg about 5 people, including us
the whole time they did it the young child was very interested in the "empty" egg and asked questions about Easter so it was a very special evening/teaching tool for them

awesome kindness story on world news tonite
a dog found in PA, brought to vet and chip showed owner in AZ
Jake the dog had been missing a year
new parents/owner were unable to drive all the way for pick up
posted on FB and 20 different strangers took a leg of driving with owner taking last leg of trip to get Jake home
great job, dog lovers!
