If you want to learn to flip a balisong, I would suggest getting a trainer model. It has the same weight and feel of the real deal. but does not have a "live" blade. It is much safer for flipping and learning and because of the lack of real blade, is legal in most areas.

Hmm, yeah i've considered a trainer but I'd prefer a real knife... one that can actually do something

i've got a (pretty crappy 10$) balisong atm and I love flipping it... the knife was extremely sharp so I taped the edges and tadaa, never got cut since I taped it

I like listening to Bob Ross. It is soothing and comforting. Growing up in an unstable home made me sooo hungry for that, and I'd be hypnotized infront of the tv watching him paint and hearing his voice.

For some odd, unknown reason, I have recently developed a desire to buy and learn how to throw boomerangs. I know that may not be so weird to some of our overseas friends here, but it just isn't something you see every day here. I think it would be fun to learn how to do, give me something to get me outside and active, and be fun to use with my physical science students.

When I was a kid I learnt how to throw one on a sport and rec camp with school... and when i'd go camping as a kid with my family we'd find a big empty space and try... lol... i think its more a novelty than anything else though
