Kind of weird and random, but...

I don't get to shoot as much as I would like, partly due to time and partly due to money. It's $10+ a box for the cheap 9mm target ammo right now, plus the cost of targets, range time, etc... My best friend's dad has a gun range membership, and we get to go with him free, but with his health on the decline, that doesn't happen much.

If I factor in range costs, target costs, water (stay hydrated, man!) ammo costs, etc... you are looking at a minimum of $25 per session, probably more because 50 rounds doesn't last long, especially when you are paying $8-10 for the range session and want to shoot as much as possible.

When I got to my parents house, lots of family members usually want to go out shooting. I don't think they realize how much money it takes. Last time I went with family, we ran through about $40 worth of 9mm and $75-100 worth of .223 in about half an hour.

I want to get back into martial arts soon. Partly for exercise and getting healthier, and partly for fun times. I love doing knife and stick work.

Come to think of it, I could use a pair of steampunk goggles. No, I don't actually need them, but I do think they look kind of cool. My dad used to keep an old pair of goggles in the basement, by the workbench. As I recall, they were like the pair in this picture, but with clear lenses. Maybe he'll let me borrow them. They would work well with a costume.

Smac, I shoot for free at my parents house. They live on 80 acres out of the city limits, so we shoot there a lot. The problem is, when i shoot there, I usually have several people that want to go and "learn" to shoot. I end up spending $50-100 in ammo depending on what we shoot, even without paying for range time!

It's funny, whenever I have to baby-sit my nephew, I always take him to WalMart to buy new hot wheels so we can play, lol. He loves it, and so do I. For $5, you can get 5 new cars and he thinks it's Christmas all over again!

If I ever have kids, I know it's going to be bad, because I will definitely want to spoil them.

If you want to learn to flip a balisong, I would suggest getting a trainer model. It has the same weight and feel of the real deal. but does not have a "live" blade. It is much safer for flipping and learning and because of the lack of real blade, is legal in most areas.
