I've been taking my owner out for regular walks.

You’re a good dog. Mine sure enjoyed theirs yesterday. Unfortunately, today we have gusting winds and a lot of trees and heavy branches have fell so it isn’t safe.

I don't see much change in the numbers. It's been about this since the software change (to xenforo) a few years ago. Before that members online were about 200. It's never recovered.

What has been a consistent trend since then is the increase in political threads. We now are made aware each time Trump blows his nose. How blessed we are. Some of us might find that off-putting and think twice before getting involved. Some of us might think it's tearing the Body apart.

There is another site, using a different format, which while having far fewer posting guidelines, is less tolerant of politics, and it seems to be thriving.

I think activity has changed as well as focus. But I did expect a bit of a surge with people self-isolating but there has not been any as far as I have observed. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing either.

I went out for my daily exercise around the block. I live near a canal so lots of towpaths. No people, just geese, and as it was cold and windy, the water was very choppy!

Beautiful! I live in the woods in a river valley. When we walk it’s more like a hike! I miss walking in areas like yours from time to time. Much more relaxing!

The canals are handy for walking and biking and they extend out into the countryside. Your area sounds beautiful. I love woodlands and waterways.

It's expect its a nice place to get away from it all and have peace and quiet! On my days off, I'm missing popping into the canalside cafes for coffee and watching the world go by. Sometimes I meet with friends but due to the virus, I won't be seeing them in person for a while now. The cafes are all closed and the strange thing is no-one knows at the moment when everything will reopen again. We're expected to restrict our activites and maintain social isolation, so I'm grateful to at least have the canal to go out for a quick walk and get fresh air.

It’s sort of a limbo like existence right now. It is nice being away from the hustle and bustle but I often miss having things closer by. But we make do. Keep trying to get the place where it is more self maintaining. I have the geese here as well. They are in nesting mode right now.

Oh yes, we'll soon see the goslings coming out! And the geese always get in a strop and hiss at you when you walk by!

Pre-corona, I noticed that activity seemed higher during working hours and abysmally low on weekends. I figured people were mostly logging into this site either to pass their break time, or to waste time when they were supposed to be working. Now that people aren't going to work, they have less incentive to come to the forums. That's why I don't think that more than about twenty percent, at most, are here because they take the faith seriously. For most, this is just a place for people to argue and interact, and if they have to pull out some vague notion of having been a Christian, then so be it.

I went for a "bike" ride, yesterday (for lack of a better term), and the path was so crowded that I had to walk much of it for fear of collision. I mean, it was really packed. I get less exposure to humanity by going to work.
