for those of us that don't have an xbox or want to have the best PS2 fps, is anyone going to be getting Killzone when it comes out Nov. 2nd? I know I am, cause I don't have an xbox and also it looks really cool. I don't think it's quite a "halo killer", but it looks awesome without a doubt. I'm goona pick up a copy asap.

Trade your PS2 in, and all of your games.
That should make the xbox/halo2/online around 200$.

And Halo2 isn't the only great game coming out.
Dead or Alive Ultimate, Ghost Recon 2(with new 3rd person, definitly the soccom killer)
ChessMaster(I like )
Doom 3, Half Life 2, and other FPS.
Plus all of the great past games, like Fable, Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow.

Xbox suffered lack of games before, but not anymore.

wait a second.....Don't call me a n00b or anything......but HL2 is coming for the Xbox as well? I thought that the Xbox wasn't powerful enough to run that game, only the PC can run it. If that's the case........I need to start saving money on my paychecks and running for that xbox

From what I hear, Doom 3 took alot more power to run, than HL2 does.
And I have seen moving screen shots of Doom 3, it looks awesome.

So they would do the same with HL2.
But no confirmed date as of yet, I guess they want to see how many PC versions they can sell first.

But do yourself a favor, and catch that Halo2 fever, and be there for the midnight release. You'll make alot of new gaming friends there.

Yeah i'll probabley rent Killzone first, i've seen most of the previews for it. Ofcourse, it wont be as good as Battlefield: Modern Combat.

RS3:BA is hands down the best FPS on any console. The game play is superb, and the maps are awesome. Not to mention the graphics are awesome being that it is a 16 man online game.

Name a better FPS, or third for that matter.

And really xbox gives you more than you pay for. Xbox is only 4$ a month.
That is chump change.

Oh yeah by the way....that review wasn't on the final build, but a mid september release. So we'll see just how good it is tomorrow since I don't have it preordered. I can't wait!

That was only 2 months ago. The product was finished, I mean how much more could you do in a month? (you have to figure the game was being burned to CD for a month).

Xbox forums have a thread on this. They said the killzone fans are made because they think they got an unfinished product to review.

Remember this is Sony who hyped this game up. The same company that said the PS2 was so powerfull that it could lauch rockets. (true story)
It's a market ploy to try and keep xbox from taking more of the pie.

Ok for your sake I hope the game rocks!
But for my sake I hope it sucks!
That way you'll dump sony and come play against me.

By the way, this Dead or Alive game has got me majorly hooked. It is a work of brilliance that will have others following in their foot steps.

Ok well now that this game is out, I've been playing it nonstop for the past 2 days (thank goodness we don't have school )

Single player is surprisingly hard even on easy, because unlike what all the reviews are saying, the AI for the opponents are very well done. Weapons look great and the sound is awesome. The reloading looks really cool too.

Online is awesome as well, with over 6 different modes of play and having ranks and buddy lists and all. I've already made a few friends last night. It's pretty easy to get the hang of this game; I've already surpassed many of the other players

Overall this game is even better than what I thought it would be. This game isn't quite a Halo killer, but it's without a doubt the best shooter on the PS2 IMO. That's sky's brief review.
