Hey I am in the market for a keyboard... I am not interested in a Synth, only the best sounding grand piano sound on the market... hehe... I am currently really interested in the Roland RD-700... does anyone here have one or have any experience with this keyboard? I want to know how it compares to the big dogs (Korg, Kurzweil, Yamha, etc.) in the area of feel and pure piano sound... thanks!

I only play Korgs, so I can't really help you I guess. But I'm sure you'll find something, don't just go for piano sounds, though, cause you'll be surprised how much fun you can have composing songs with different instruments. :)

Good morning.. I have used a Korg SG rack for years controlled by a Roland A80. Roland RD series is good in a mix but will tire you listenning to a solo. Live... I use a Roland XV88 with the concert piano card. The keyboard feels great and is loaded with a world of other useful sounds. I use a Lexicon LXP15II for reverb on the piano. EQ is flat.

In the studio... i use Vsampler 3.0. soft synth with an XV88 as the controller... word's fail.

If you are into natural sounding instruments... Roland rules. The style of music i write and play requires a natural sound. ok my 2 cents...
