Keyboard on my new phone.

At first I thought there was none but now it looks like it is so big that what I am seeing is the center of the keyboard. It is so big that the whole bottom of the screen is taken up by the middle of the keyboard
I have tried everything to get it small. I even downloaded Gboard. Which did nothing to give me a keyboard. Pretty useless the way it is. I don't care to use the voice thing.

It would help to know what make/model of phone you are talking about and what version of the OS it is running. I would do a google search for your phone model/keyboard too big and see if anyone else has solved the issue.

Interestingly, it's been off for hours, I was fed up with it and just turned it on and now has keyboard
