I found this document that pretty much lays out what happened when the IRS raided the Hovind compound, from Hovind's point of view.
For anyone without acrobat or too lazy to read it, here's his argument in a nutshell: "No federal judge has authority over me! I'm Kent Hovind! I only answer to God!"
He freely admits to not filing income tax for the past ten years, and wonders why the IRS is picking on him.
The funniest part is when he demands that all the federal agents involved in the raid make donations to his ministry because of Acts 16:37. Yeah, like a federal judge is going to agree to that.
You can't make this stuff up.
