Here's a man being railroaded. He has broken no laws. The charges against him are trumped up. It's pefectly legal to hire people on a contractual bases, rather than an employee bases. The contractors owe those taxes, not Hovind, and have probably paid them.

It's normal, for example, for a church to own the home the minister lives in. I see nothing incredible about Hovind claiming not to own anything.

I am a Young Earth Creationist and I like some of the things that Kent Hovind teaches but for the most part I prefer other sites like Answers in Genesis or Institution for Creation Research. As for the charges, I don't know if they are true or false.

I'm pretty sure he owns clothes and shoes and stuff like that, and that he received payment in some form with which to purchase them.

It's customary for ministers to pay income taxes as well.

Maybe you'd like to quote from the linked article where Hovind is being charged with not paying his own personal income taxes. Maybe you'd like to further explain how owning clothes and shoes indicates a level of income where income taxes would be applicable? I know, in your world, whateve Big Brother does, he's always right.

Let's talk peacefully, please.

Hovind has done nothing wrong, yet he's guilty of the non-wrongs he's accused of.

For example, suppose you like to hug the outside edge of the road when you drive. You've done nothing wrong or illegal. Now, suppose a cop arrests you for careless and imprudent driving, and points to you hugging the outside edge of the road. You're guilty of what he's saying you did, even though what you did violates no laws in and of itself, nor is it wrong. This is similar to the case of if the IRS decides that you're not allowed hire people as contractors, as Hovind is accused - even though no taxes has been evaded and no laws broken.
