Is anybody paying attention here...?

If you haven't heard of Ken Jennings by now, you are nuts. He's now won twenty-six consecutive games on Jeopardy and has earned a total around $828,000.

He is the ultimate genius. Ever since Jeopardy got rid of the five day max rule players are now able to stay on until they lose.

Ken hasen't lost yet. It looks like he never will either.

My mom's been really following his progress.

I left work early yesterday due to a massive migraine so was home when Jeopardy was on. I started to get on the computer and my mom was like, "You gotta watch the champion and let me know how he does!!!"

It's definitely crazy.

It's almost become a "must see" in my house.

I'm the resident Jeopordy fan in my family. But ever since Ken has been on, my Mom has been keeping tabs on his progress.

Today, I think it will be day 26 or 27 for him.

:D

Mom was talking to our neighbor during yesterday's program, and the first thing she asked was "Did he win?", which of course he did. Then she asked, how much? When I said $40,000 her eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

Me, I'm just trying to see whether I get the questions right.

He won again...I think now he has 920k, or something around there.

Sheesh, that's a lot of money. I'd say he's going to break a million...

What happens with the consecutive wins if they go into a special edition Jeopardy, like college week or celeb. jeopardy or something? Does it just get carried over until the original starts again?

They continue on from where he left off after all the specials are don.

BTW, have you noticed there hasn't been a "Tournament Of Champions" lately? Wonder if it's because the champions can play on and on until they loose.
