  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

if you have time to actually retrain the cat here's what you do. Get a can of canned air (you know the kind you use to clean electronics) then just kind of hang out and wait for the cat to get into the crib when it does spray it with canned air in it's face...the cat will leave the crib and after a few times the cat will get the picture and stay out of the crib!

For now at my inlaws, we keep the pack and play away from the kitties via a shut door.
When it is down, they can check Jonathan out through the mesh BUT are not allowed in it. If we see them act like they are interested in hopping in, we shoo them away.

no pets yet at our own home.. so it's slow going here. The tent idea looks good. I haven't seen anything like that for the cribs here, just the mosquito netting or "himmelbett" stuff

I did the air can thing & it worked but now I gotta see if he stays out. He gets in ther during the day but he's never been in it with her thank goodness. The funny thing too is we had that crib up for a long time before she came & he never got in the thing.

The cat may just be curious about this new "hairless stranger" in his home and he wants to investigate and also place his scent in the places the baby goes. I think the air should keep him out though you may have to spray him a few times before he gets the idea.
