i bought their album Hopes and Fears, cause it was 7.99 and i liked what i had heard. they remind me of coldplay, a little radiohead, and the singer reminds me of Jason Mraz's more singing voice (not his scat/rapping voice).

i think it's a pretty good cd. their supposed to be the next big band from england.

anyone else have their cd? thoughts?

I think they're hugely overrated. First came Franz ferdinand-they had one good song and sunk like a stone. Then Keane-terribly depressing but labled the 'next big thing'-one, maybe two songs that charted and they're fofgotten about. Then it was Snow Patrol, and the same thing happend. Most recently it's the killers.

Franz Ferdinand's album was great.

Somewhere Only We Know was beautiful, but it irks me for some reason that they don't play guitar. They're quite different, though, from most of what's out there.

i think theyre debut album 'hopes and fears' is fantastic i only hope they can carry on their music ability and success with follow up albums just as good, its very rare for a band to do this

its one of the few albums of late i can listen to day in day out the whole way through, much like 'rush of cold blood to the head' by coldplay i love them !

we went to see travis last year sometime and keane were supporting them but unfortunately we missed most of their set which i really regret now

I didn't like Franz's album. Felt totally cheated buying it-should have gotten Take Me Out on it's own. But I learned my lesson...don't buy album which a certain radio station claims are good.

I didn't think it was monotonous at all. Very melodic, it's amazing how great it can sound without any stringed instruments!

i think it's cool that they can make good music without a guitar. i love the piano-driven sound. i think my favorite songs are

the rest of the album is good too, but those stand out.

Hopes and fears was great i thought. 'Bedshaped' is an absolute classic, just love that song.
