Don't you know? You have a single payer medical system -- its already there. (eyeroll)It's been that way since the Public Order Act 1986. Nearly 40 years. When does the communism kick in?
Technically, it is an economic system in which the productive capital of a country is owned by the state. It is usually, but not necessarily, associated with a centrally planned economy, It is usually, but again, not necessarily, the economic basis of a single party state--which will lead to tyranny over any economic system. Mixed capitalist/socialist systems also exist, in which the government may nationalize individual companies or even whole industries, leaving the rest of the capitalist economy in place. That's the real socialism. You realize that real socialism is far more than just an economic angle correct?
That's only part of it. There many different ways socialism is enacted which includes authoritarianism over the populace and control. Single payer healthcare is socailistic but not not necessarily socialism.Technically, it is an economic system in which the productive capital of a country is owned by the state. Which is exactly what I said, Socialism is generally associated with single party states, which lead to tyranny. Single party capitalist states are generally tyrannies as well. But socialist economies often are centrally planned, which also fosters tyranny. That's only part of it. There many different ways socialism is enacted which includes authoritarianism over the populace and control.
There is a technical political science term for that, as well, but it is not socialism.Single payer healthcare is socailistic but not not necessarily socialism.
Socialism starts controlling you. What you can say, what you can do, what you can hear, read and watch. It control what you can eat, what you can drive etc. It often uses economic systems to accomplish this.
It seeks.to.divide people in order to stir up strife. Pit people against one another. Like what Walz did in Minnesota during COVID.
Which is what we used to have in the UK from immediately after the Second World War onwards. Steel, gas and electricity was nationalised. Likewise coal and shipbuilding. So was British Rail. Even British Air.Mixed capitalist/socialist systems also exist, in which the government may nationalize individual companies or even whole industries, leaving the rest of the capitalist economy in place. That's the real socialism.
Like you agreed. Socialism can have more than one facet. There are more socialistic programs such as single payer healthcare. The concern here is Harris and Walz have used solcialist authoritarian language and/or methods in their governance. The way she came to power. The words she has used to describe her policies when she has actually told us her beliefs. Walz has demonstrated his preference for authoritarian methodologies and the Democratic Party has absolutely used and continues to use socialist authoritarian methodologies and trying to create a single party system.Which is exactly what I said, Socialism is generally associated with single party states, which lead to tyranny. Yeah FDR was a huge socialist. During his time there was a huge push toward socialism and the elite was just enamored over what was going on in Russia and wanted to bring it to the US."Socialism is a scare word they have hurled at every advance the people have made in the last 20 years.
Socialism is what they called public power. Socialism is what they called social security.
Socialism is what they called farm price supports.
Socialism is what they called bank deposit insurance.
Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.
Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people." - Harry Truman (10 October, 1952)
"A few timid people, who fear progress, will try to give you new and strange names for what we are doing. Sometimes they will call it " Fascism", sometimes "Communism", sometimes "Regimentation", sometimes "Socialism". But, in so doing, they are trying to make very complex and theoretical something that is really very simple and very practical." Franklin D. Roosevelt, Fireside Chat Number 5 (28 June, 1934)

No? Denmark has single-payer health care, including transgender care, tight gun laws, progressive LGBT rights, more liberal abortion laws than Republicans want and a host of other policies that lie in the direction "Democrats are going." But none of that has anything to do with socialism nor does it tell us where you think Democrats are going other than that direction. Those capitalist liberals who love capitalistic societies like Denmark need to wake up to what direction the Democrats are going. And it's not the way of Denmark.
Yes they have a single payer system. However they have restricted care for trans youth and no longer utilize the Affirmative Care model we have in the US.No? Have they banned it outright? Or are they just doing it better? It seems that many Republicans want to ban it outright.Yes they have a single payer system. However they have restricted care for trans youth and no longer utilize the Affirmative Care model we have in the US.
They receive therapeutic counselling hand support here, too, except where transgender care is banned. Most youth referred to the centralized gender clinic no longer get a prescription for puberty blockers, hormones or surgery—instead they receive therapeutic counseling and support.
So what? Is it banned outright with no exceptions?Denmark has much more restrictive abortion laws than what the Democrats want.
Of course they do. There situation is entirely different.Denmark has a much more restrictive immigration policy than the Democrats.
That is false.Denmark is a heavy capitalism system which Democrats have been extremely anti-capitalism.
That is false. The Democrats want more availability for abortions up until birth including partial birth abortions, they are for transitioning kids Including medicalization, they are for far more liberal immigration.
That is false.Democrats consistently slam capitalism.
Yes they have banned it. Therapy is the model for kids now.Have they banned it outright? Or are they just doing it better? It seems that many Republicans want to ban it outright.
Transgender care is NOT banned anywhere here. No one has banned therapeutic care. They have banned Affirmative Care which includes medicalization. They receive therapeutic counselling hand support here, too, except where transgender care is banned.
I don't believe it is banned anywhere in the US with no exceptions. Most people don't want that.So what? Is it banned outright with no exceptions?
Yes it is different. Since you admit it's different why do you want to do things their way. Because we are different than them. Period.Of course they do. There situation is entirely different.
Thats true.That is false.
That's demonstrably true. Becauae if it wasn't we wouldn't have any disagreements. All those things Democrats support. That is false.
You need a new playbook. Dictating to your political opponents what their positions on issues is supposed to be is getting tiresome.Yes they have banned it. Therapy is the model for kids now.

We are seeing the authoritative aspects for a while now. It is getting more open.Like you agreed. Socialism can have more than one facet. Nice response that doesn't in anyway have any evidence that what I said was untrue. Usually when something like this is brought forward it's because one has lost the argument. You need a new playbook. Dictating to your political opponents what their positions on issues is supposed to be is getting tiresome.
