It is this confected dispute that is irrelevant. She is likely to be the Democratic candidate and just now quite a lot suggests she might well become President.

She won over the delegates that were pledged for Pres. Biden's renomination along with VP Harris' renomination. Everyone who cast a ballot in a presidential preference primary knew she was the joined with him. (As for the funds, she was part of that campaign from the beginning as a candidate for VP.)

Exactly. That's why we have a general election but haven't always had primaries. Not all states have them even now.Winning delegates isn't the same as winning the peoples' votes.
