Who here has participated in KAIROS prison ministry?

I have worked Kairos weekends.

Limestone Correctional Facility, Alabama.

Kairos is hard to describe so I will just post a few comments from inmates who attended.

"I have never been called a son of God. Now I know that I am one."
"I hated a man for 45 years, last night I forgave him."
" I am going to take the Christ I have found in you all to my brothers in the compound, that they may see the light in me."

I am largely involved with a similar minstry to incarcerated youth called Epiphany.

The neat thing about the youth is that many times, they are released by the time they are 21 and with help can avoid being locked up again. It's rewarding seeing them have the rest of their life to enjoy and the difference they can make with the testimony they have to share.
