  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Being single is not really all that bad. There is more to life than marriage, and kids. You can also have kids without getting married you know...NO NO thats not what I mean. lol ;) Im talking about adoption, and foster care. Just something to think about.

I was just wondering, if you guys ever considered that Jesus was never married nor had a girl friend? I think allot of us try to rush into things way to quickly and worry about finding that special someone! Until, the good stuff in life has passed us by. Just some food for thought
Good point! Yes, I have thought of that before...really makes you think doesn't it?

I know that you have a point, but I can't find it. Could you rephrase it? I'm not really sure how Jesus comes into this picture.

Yeah, but thern there's the whole theology of His nature coming into play as well as His mission to die on a cross around the age of 33. Jesus was incompatible with marraige.

Not necceesarily. Jesus could have had girlfriends during His life, and He could have been married. Whether or not Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene-as some scholars suggest-has no bearing on His significant mission and nature as the Second Person of the Trinity.

It is possible that Jesus was married - we are not told either way. I personally don't think it's important whether He was or not.... we should still all wait until we find the right person should that be God's will!!!

Jesus was never meant to be wed nor be in a relationship because God sent Him on the earth to preach in God's name as well as to serve and NOT BE SERVED!!

Why would Jesus need a girlfriend or wife? He may have been in a human body, but he was still Jesus.

Because He was the Son of Man and had a human nature, thus He had the same desires, fears, emotions, etc. that we all do. I'm sure that as a young man growing up in Galilee He saw some pretty ladies :D Interesting conversation, but for another thread and another day.

I really don't think it matters either way, and I still don't understand the point of the OP.

Jesus did have the same human nature desires but also I feel as though His Father never meant for Him to have a relationship nor get married with children.
