I have this little prayer card that I've kept for years. One time, when I felt like I was about thisclose to checking myself into the happy hospital, because the scrupulous and hypochondriac obsessions just would not stop, to the point where I could no longer hear myself think, I picked up my Bible, and the card fluttered out. I read it, and was immensely comforted. I thought I'd pass it along:
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful,
because I come to you for safety.
In the shadow of your wings I find protection
until the raging storms are over.
I call to God, the Most High,
to God, who supplies my every need.
He will answer from Heaven and save me;
He will defeat my oppressors.
God will show me His constant Love and faithfulness.
-from Psalm 57
I hope these words can be helpful to you, too. Fight the good fight.
