I think most of us are a bit over sensative right now to see this as funny...we've been through a lot over the past couple of days. I admit, my feelings were sorta hurt reading that thread whereas normally they wouldn't be.

But really, who cares? Who cares what they're saying about us? Who cares if it's "us against them" when inside of our own forum it's been us against us. Let them mock, laugh or whatever. All that I think is important for us right now is for us to stand together...we are family...threads like this pointing out threads like that is NOT helping.

What? You can't laugh at yourselves? I mean to say, this forum hasn't exactly been drama-free or nice for the past few days. Laughter is a great way to blow off steam. Why not join the thread and show some self-deprecating humor in it? It would demonstrate that you have a sense of humor and win you some respect.

But I always thought respect was earned by being fair and being kind. I don't care to earn respect by taking the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] out of people who are already hurting - whether I agree with their reasons for being in pain or not.

The problem is, given much of the strife has been about CC vs WWMC, WWMC making the thread to laugh at the drama and people here is cruel, not cathartic and I can't see there's any way around that.

No one is seeking to join these two forums. I would leave if that happened. What people ARE trying to do is fix the issues in THIS forum. We have a problem here. It has to do with losing our love for one another. We are fighting and attacking one another. I am as guilty as the next person. Something is way wrong. We are letting our emotions override wisdom here.

We need to focus back on the principles that CCC was built upon. Those principles are an absolute adherance to the Truth and an absolute dedication to our brothers and sisters with perfect love.

Forget WWMC. We need to fix US right now.

i'm kinda baffled as to how some people even get this much time to engage in squabbles online and keep going for what seems like the whole day on it.

i try to read some of the threads in which there's strife but they go on for pages and pages. and they never reach any consensus. i wonder how they find time to stay on those threads "all day" and keep fighting.

I am with Macrina. I am taking leave of this place for awhile. I will be watching. I will help with any reconciliations, but I am not going to participate in this anymore. It is wearing me out in every way. I just found my way back. I cannot afford this kind of Spiritual damage right now.

I am very weak right now. I need some uplifting right now, but there are very few of you who are in a position to do that right now.

I am not resigning my membership, but I am not posting until this is resolved or there is at least a commitment to resolve it. I will participate in that.

Let me know if the love returns.

Honestly, I saw nothing offensive in that thread and I read the whole thing.

The truly sad thing here is that their poking fun at whats going on here is TRUE! it is absolutely sad that this forum has become a huge contentious battleground. Especially when you consider that most of the fighting is between conservatives, including people who were members of this forum from the beginning.

The fact is that our behavior here over the last couple of days has been rediculous.

Look around and smell the drama - everywhere here on FU! It can be sad, it can be funny, it can throw a bad light on the fora it is happening in!

I truly don't think it's as simple as that, ST.

Can I honestly tell you something? Have been receiving pms saying am a crap mod, and that am being manipulated; being given quotes from people talking about me about IIDB; being told CC is gonna fall apart cos am somehow failing this forum. The last week or so, we must have had at least 100 reports come through here, and everyone wants reports to go their way.

Am tired of receiving pms full of whisperings and gossip, and am tired of feeling like I have to pick a "side". It's been going on for weeks, but in the last week or so it's gone crazy.

It's not enough to be fair, or to do the right thing: unless you're showing bias, you're a crap person and a crap mod.

This forum was on the very verge of becoming wonderful again yesterday, cos we finally rose up and confronted what was going on here. Have tried consistently to make sure no-one feels hurt or left out, and have tried to make people feel safe and welcomed here.

But am tired of being trashed and tired of the arguing and am tired of the vitriol and the warring and mockery.

None of this is of God. Not the trying to keep people out, not the awful gossipy pms, and not the mockery. Feeling like you're being castigated and mocked by both "sides" when you love both "sides" is painful and am honestly sorry that am not able to laugh it off, cos that'd be easier, but this has been going on for so long and it's gotten to the point where it genuinely hurts.
