I will shoot what I want thank you very much...lol..I had a pack of coyotes in the front yard night before last...We had just went to bed and they started their yelpin..My dad and I used to hunt them..We had squealing rabbit calls and would call them in and shoot them from about 200 yards away..

them things are just nasty... even tho I know they're just trying to survive like other predator that kills other animals for food.

I'm a "recovering" former animal rights activist so hunting makes me sad (my brother is an AVID hunter - as avid as it gets; like Ted Nugent avid) lol
We didn't get along for a few years.

I grew up with hunters. We need them here or the deer would take over...seriously, they ruin crops. I don't think I could do it (please don't ask me about the groundhog thing) but I love to eat dead things

I understand...Nugent lives not to far from me.....Most animal rights activists unknowingly are worshiping the creation rather than the creator..(not that you were)..Here in Michigan the activists can go to jail for hassling hunters..

wow. Hey, that's where all my family's from! & my brother hunts there too. He's about 14 miles N. of Detroit.

I LUV Ted Nugent. I'm all good with everything - just that I'm pro animals becuz of my extreme love for them - like they're people.
Used to be radical in my 'heathen' days, but God got a hold of me.

Being an animal rights activist is great as long as it doesn't go to far.
As lookingup4him says in the last post I quote here, many end up worshipping creation instead.
The only activism I used to do was sign tons of petitions.

You are right about the deer ,they would take over.
Most all men hunt by me. I don't mind them getting the bear, but the deer are so cute.

I was a veggie for a while..that was fine. Then I went vegan and couldn't handle it at all.

My parents live there!! LOL what a coinkeydink.

I'm going to fly out & visit them this Spring. AWESOME! I know the area pretty well; vacationed up there since I was little. They bought the property & moved up after my dad retired.

Yes it can get too far, but I'm SO partial to protection against senseless torture & pain inflicted on them, that I support them in alot of stuff most people wouldn't.
I'm RADICAL - I can't help that. & sometimes they've had to do things to rescue them.

It has to be kept in perspective - sadly, people are more ok with protecting animals than sanctity of human life.


Anyways, I was vegan & vegetarian both for 10 yrs. & finally got so anemic and feeling like garbage that I had to go back to some real protein in my diet.

I still won't eat anything on 4 legs, sometimes eat chicken or turkey or fish and no shellfish. (again more torture on them; boiling alive. no way).

Its beautiful here right now..About a foot of snow in the back yard..All the pines sporting snow laden branches..ahhh MI..Love it here..

The snow is gorgeous. I love photography and next year I hope to visit in the winter & get some nice scenery shots. AWESOME.
