CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And to add another dimension... with the psychology of it - little girls who have loving, interactive fathers are more emotionally stable and secure/grounded.

Naaa..No need..My kids are best friends with my best friends grandkids...They have basically been abandoned by their mom, so they were always with my friend and his wife.....Before I was married (2years ago) I was around them so much it was like they were my kids..Babysat them etc...Since I didnt get married until 45, this was my warmup...lol...Anyway, they are good christian kids and behave well..That an they know me well enough that if they misbehave I will bury them in my 10 acre back yard...ROTFLOL

Don't want to make Lookinup mad I was a single Mom for a while. When my girls had dates I'd talk with the young men like a Daddy should do. Some questions I asked them...
Do you have a criminal record?
Don't lie because I can check!!
Do your parents have a criminal record?
Do you have any speeding tickets?
Be home by 10, I'll be up cleaning my shotgun until then.

lol..seriously though, these other kids are like mine as well...I remember one time I got pranked by my friends kid who was like 12 at the time...He had alot of school to do, so his mom asked me to watch the grandkids..Normally when I was around he always changed their diapers...So this time one of the girls came to me and said "Ric i got poo" with teary eyes...lol..So I went to my friends kid and said hey, she needs changed..He says oh well thats your job today because I have to much schoolwork...lol...This little girl had sat down and the stuff had squirted all the way up her back...I was grossed out..Had to change her on the linoleum floor she was such a mess and then mop it up...lol..So my friends wife comes home and I proceeded to tell her about my adventure, when she suddenly looked at her son and said why didnt you change her diaper...Well he started laughing hysterically..He had pranked me..It was still his job.. But we have always been super close...Lots of great fellowship together etc..So these kids I saw probably 3-5 days a week..
