I began my cartooning career in the third grade, drawing superheroes like Thor, here. Just never stopped. These days, though, it's more enjoyable to draw spoofs of these characters. I spent decades drawing them true-to-life (as much as this is possible for superheroes) but just got sick of it.

The photo cartooned here made me laugh. So, I decided I'd make this drawing of it. Does it make you laugh (or, at least, smile)?

This is a "mash-up" of two different cartoon/comicbook characters. Think flying squirrel. And a barbarian.

And another cartoon "mash-up." Can you guess the two characters represented in the mash-up? I hope so. They're both super-iconic.

Saw a pic of Saruman in this pose and decided to cartoon it. His sour expression seems to communicate that he's really irritated. But, I suppose, when you're serving Sauron, the Lord of Evil, everything becomes irritating...

From childhood, I enjoyed drawing superheroes. I had a few I liked more than the rest and Iron Fist was one of them. This is a spoofed version of the character. I used to draw them true-to-life, but after years of doing so, got really bored. So, now I do these fun, distorted renderings, instead.

Anyone remember the ThunderCats cartoon?

My wife suggested this mash-up to me. She'd seen a picture of a Japanese macaque monkey riding a deer and thought it would fun to put him in samurai armor.

I drew this simple cartoon as an accompanying illustration to some fan-fic my wife wrote. People quite liked it.

My wife likes this one. The look of surprise is nicely exaggerated. Do you recognize the character?
